Rare fault - fast flash fault code on Worcester Bosch 30si gc 4731185

This was a rare fault, turn up to the Worcester Bosch 30si while it’s in a volatile lockout state, normally it’s the fan, so conducted some tests and found it’s not the fan. Watch the video and let me know if it helped you

Strange how the boiler fired when you changed the high limit stat , did you check the resistance of the old ntc it should have read 15 to 24 kohms at approx 20 deg c . Normally if the DHw ntc has gone open circuit the boiler will fire but remain in modulation because it thinks the boiler has reached its set point above 41 degs c it doesn’t cause volatile lock out . I’m suspecting you have a intermittent fan pcb fault and this may come back if your original DHw sensor readings are as above . Interesting to hear from if you do get the dreaded recall .
