Had a choice beginning of 2024. Going from a R1200GS ADV to the new 1300 or something else. The R1300 is in its first production year and moreover I haven't seen the new GSA come out yet based on the 1300 engine. I owned a couple of first production year BMW's so that's one thing I avoid. Weighing in all factors I went for the R1250RT and boy is this a great machine. Perhaps in 3-4 years I will be eying a R1300GS ADV, but for now I'm great.
Nice!!! Congratulations on the new bike 😀 do tell us what are the major benefits for you after switching and what you wish they had on the new gs1300 that would’ve made it even better bike.
@@ninerpeak its almost perfect its light its small it goes up n down on its own , which helps w shorter inseams, its very stable at high speed and has excellent wind protection. The engine is amazin, excited for the RT 1300
Kurtis was amazing. He did have models with street tires but those didn’t have features like blind spot and adaptive height that I wanted to highlight in the video so we chose this model. Ideally if someone is in market should ride multiple options to get better idea. It was a very limited test route as well so I picked the bike that can show the luxury/comfort side of things for non GS riders like me who are thinking about switching.
I have both and despite all the goodness, if I have to keep one bike, it would be the K1600 GTL that I have for the overall experience. I gave up my first gen BMW S1000XR.
Wow! You r able to review a brand new bike you’ve never ridden before, have limited knowledge about GS’s, and from my POV, u are a novice motorcycle rider. And BMW let you post a “review” on their product? Inconceivable!

Congratulations 🎉 R1250RT is a great choice. In my opinion the bike is the perfect balance of sporty yet comfortable ride. I love my RT.
The green and gold looks great. Really, it's the only way I like this new design. I hope they don't ruin the new RT like they did the GSA!
Fingers crossed🤞all new bikes are coming with no clutch option. Soon that may be the popular choice.
Thanks for the heat tip!
Another great review Parag!
Thank you!
great review Parag
it looks great in the green
Yes I loved the green color but I’ll ruin gold handle bar immediately in real world use 😂 if I go for 1300 GS I’d go with Rally color or triple black.
Parag! Amazing man
Thank you! 😊
Great review thanks!
Thanks!
I have the green gs13 and a black rt1250, I sold the rt1250 yesterday

@SP-xd8gs yea, same, I’m excited for 1300 GSA and RT. Can’t wait to see what the design would look like.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Makes no sense for the dealer to leave knobbies on a demo bike.

Switching K1600 to GS must be huge difference
K are huge bikes. I’d call them luxury. This GS is trying to be best of both worlds.
I went from a Goldwing 1500 to a GS 1150. I don't see me ever riding a big fat road bike again.

I ride a 2021 RT and didn’t really like the 1250 GS because of weight (with panniers). 1300 GS maybe a good sweet middle. Still thinking 🤔
