Was fortunate enough to be a supporter on tour with the All Blacks to Wales in 1989 . Shall always remember the magnificent Welsh singing . Added so much to the game and the atmosphere . Simply brilliant . Watching this video brings it all back . Shall never forget that trip . Even though the All Blacks played well it is the singing I remember most .

I'm not a huge fan of the language, mostly because I can't pronouce half of the words, haha. That's the only problem I have with the Wales... but it is a beautiful nation.

My town here in the scottish border’s used to host hundred's of Welsh supporter's in the town’s hotels before the game at Murryfield but sadly all that’s gone now, It was like having a visit from home every two years. I was young when I first saw Wales play against Scotland and it was JPR’s last season and I got to see them win 19-13 and I got caught smoking in the school boy’s enclosure live on BBC TV LOL I was born in Bangor :)

I love this. I'm half Welsh, half Scottish but I think the Welsh national anthem just stirs the blood that bit more. Spine tingling.

The writer of this music was english ----------William Henry Monk (16 March 1823 - 18 March 1889) composed a fair number of popular hymn tunes, including one of the most famous from nineteenth century England, "Eventide", used for the hymn Abide with Me. He also wrote music for church services and a number of anthems.

Not probably. Most are from days of old when everything had to be 'prim and proper'. Scotlands 'unofficial' anthem is a modern day wonder.

I think that is the one thing we all CAN agree on. My No1 choice is La Marseillaise ( the words are a bit grim though!) 2 The Russian 3 The Welsh. Sorry Yanks but I have heard yours strangled so many times it makes me wince, The Australian is noy good, but the God Save the Queen dirge is appalling.
