Every country has a national anthem.
fucking suriname has one
Yes, it's considered extremely rude and disrespectful to talk during any national anthem. But singing along is fine and very common.
@@Imhighandhungry We actually have two official anthems, one for each official language. Mixing and matching is fully allowed. I don't speak French and I'm lost when they do. Not hating, just grew up in BC and wanted to learn Italian in school but it wasn't offered. My protest was flunking French so bad they never made me go back. Probably not the best choice, but hey, I was 13.
Do you not watch sports? The Canadian anthem is always sung before a hockey game. And we all sing the anthem. It’s a sign of pride for our country.
This man just reinforces the concept of American exceptionalism. Yes the rest of the world have national anthems. How could he as a grown man not know this?
Yep
I am Canadian ...and I still get choked when hearing the Canadian anthem...thank you for choking me yup lol❤❤❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Canada has a national anthem, every nation/country has an anthem!
Just a fun fact because Canada has two national languages ( French and English ). It is sung in both languages. Manitoba and westward it is pretty much sung totally in English…..from Ontario eastward it is sung alternating in English and French and I believe in Quebec it is probably totally sung in French.
I can confirm, even in Québec (province) it's still sung bilingual. At least in official events.
In schools in AB and SK it can be bilingual
Manitoba still has a decently large French population
It’s not only French and English also other native languages, in my hometown us Inuit we sing it Inuktitut so it’s not only what they say
Our Canadian cousins have given us so much. Happy Canada Day!
They sang it in English and French.
There's tons of Canadian artists you probably haven't heard of.
Extraordinary to think that ANY nation would not have their own national anthem. “I didn’t know Canada had a national anthem”.
Wow. Really? What did you think they played over the loud speaker when they won gold medals at the Olympics? We all have national anthems. Sorry, but it’s weird you didn’t know that…
As an American myself most are extremely uneducated… don’t mind him.
I thought that was hilarious to I’m like I’m pretty sure Every country has a national anthem
@@georgejulien3286I’m Canadian I just laughed cause I’m like there’s no way he just said that💀
I live and grew up in Buffalo NY and been to Canada a few times. Toronto was beautiful and they sing US and Canadian anthems before every hockey game in both countries
How could you not know that Canada has a national anthem? Lol. It's a country, so of course it has an anthem! My God! That's another level of ignorance! Lol
Needs way more thumbs up, tbh
The American educational system doesn't ever seem to quit surprising us
He’s American.😂
As a Canadian, I can’t imagine any citizen not singing the national anthem.
In Finland it would be weird if the crowd wouldn't sing. It's our song for our country and everyone knows the words so of course we sing.
As a Canadian, I loved his pure reaction. Yes, it is lit... yes you should go!
We Canadians always sing all to the National anthem. You always see the few that aren't singing along and they usually get weird stares for not singing along.
Most Canadians know the American anthem by heart. It's just we Canadians know about other countries, especially our closest neighboring countries and Americans know next to nothing about us. (Canada) Sad actually
I’m in Canada and I have to stand for the anthem
Good grief man ! Every country has a national anthem, and being the second largest country in the world……I would hope we had an anthem…..and yes we all join in. There are several countries that have their own famous tenors. The US has its own tenors as well……these were the Canadian tenors.
every country has a national anthem, not just usa
Every country has a national anthem.
How do you as a grown adult not know this?
Fun fact: the AMERICAN national anthem is based on an old English drinking song called The Anacreontic Song which was borrowed by Francis Scott Key. It was the official song of an 18th century English drinking society called, surprise, The Anacreontic Society. It has a couple of octave jumps that are insanely difficult to sing, as they jump between vocal registers: baritone to tenor; alto to soprano. That's why so many pop singers muck it up -- they don't often have the training. Fun to watch them try, though.
The American national anthem is good music, but it's a difficult tune to sing unless you're a professional singer. I think that's why crowds don't usually sing along with it. Canada's anthem has a good tune that's very easy to sing, and it's what singers call a "belter"..... that is, the louder you go, the better it is.
Wow! This version of our anthem gave me chills! And to answer your question yes it’s fine to sing along with the anthem. It’s not considered disrespectful 😊
And on another note your anthem has a gorgeous melody btw!
If you didn't know that Canada didn't have a national anthem you probably didn't know that the USA had one.
Watch any blue jays, Raptors or Canadian NHL or MSL game and you will hear the anthem..seriously you gotta get out more.
We sing along cause everyday in school you had to sing it before school started
You oughta hear when we sing all 4 verses!
On utube opening ceremonies Vancouver Olympics Oh Canada sang by Nicky Yanofsky
How on earth did you not know that Canada, like every other country in the world, has a national anthem?
....and of course the crown is singing along, because we all know it in BOTH official languages.
Dude, I hope you have a chance to travel the world someday and you can learn about it. Get out of the US from time to time.
Canada is such a beautiful country.
Anytime you guys need help, we always help ya'll. Just ask us.
Every game I have been to, we sang too
"I didn't know Canada had a National anthem" I didn't know other countries had flags too? Wow do other countries have borders? People are proud not to be Americans? People like living in one of the counties famous for being in the top 10 best places to live? Wouldn't they rather live in the 25th best place, Like most Americans for?
We’re proud why not say it when we proud
No need to talk of 'bombs' or other military references in our anthem. Peace and Pride always.
Well, the 'rockets' red glare and the bombs bursting in air' WERE British, so there's that.

You should watch these guys do " Who Wants to Live Forever" with violinist Lindsey Stirling. They put an amazing twist on the famous Queen song.
U should listen to the welsh anthem in rugby it’s unreal
You didn't know that Canada had a national anthem? Really? A high school kid should know something as basic as that.
Fr lmao like the level of ignorance to say some stupid shit like that
An unborn child still in the womb should know that
It's lit but expensive for food and living expenses
The 1st part of the chord progression is altered a bit ,almost sounds as though the orchestra is holding thw 1st chord and the vocal harmonies push the chord progression
Didn't know Canada has a national anthem?? How clueless are you?? Every country has a national anthem.
Honestly embarrassing lmao. I just don’t understand what makes someone think another country doesn’t have a national anthem. Fucking mind blowing
react to liverpool champions league parade. It's their parade after winning the champions league
You have to hear the whole thing in English
So you sincerely didn’t know another country has a national anthem??? Really bud, really??
Unbelievable!
we all sing the anthem because we know the lyrics not like the Americans they dont know the lyrics of their anthem
National anthems predate the US. Good how is one country so ignorant.
Seriously where do you live every country has a national anthem time to turn off this channel
They changed it from "sons command" to "lost command", I wont sing it the new way but thats weird and annoying to think the Liberals want us to change it like that
It changed from "All thy sons command" to "All of us command"
The English lyrics have changed several times since they were first written in 1906.
The only version that had never changed is the French one, which is the original version.
I thought it was changed to “all of us command” as apposed to all thy son’s command?
