- Hi!! It’s Belinda Yan and welcome back to my channel! I’m going to teach you how to DIY gel nails at home (make yourself feeling cute again 💅). The US isn’t looking so hot in terms of coronavirus cases. California’s reopening plan has taken a step back in some counties. We really don’t know when nail salons will be open for business. I wanted to still have cute nails so I decided to take matters into my own hands. And NOW I’m about to show you how you can too!

Hi, so how was the kit? I'm about to get the lamp and wondering how long does it takes to cure the gel polish with thia lamp? Thank you
@@sobiaahmad2515I have it and cure the base and top for 120 seconds and the color for 90 seconds. The package says 60-90 secs for color and 90-120 for base and top. I do the max because I've been burned by undercured gel more than once with my old cheap lamp.
hii,i loved the video.I would definitely recomend you to move away the gel polish bottle while curing the nails because the uv light will damage the formula of the polishes

I have not been using this because I had to take a break from nail polish and let my natural nails breathe for a bit. When I get back into it I would want to get more colors
Quick question for anyone with an answer...
My base coat is not curing as well as I'd hoped. I've put my nails under the Beetles UV LED light numerous times but nails still feel a bit tacky, this is before putting color on.
I've moved the light so I'm able to plug it in directly to the wall outlet...any thoughts?

Hi Nicole! It’s ok that the base coat is a little tacky. Just cure 2-3 times and then go ahead and add the color. The first coat may look weird, but once you add the second coat of color it should look much better
@@belindayan1930 Thanks for your reply! New question: because the fel didn't provide the strength I'd hoped for, I thought I'd try a layer of clear dip as a base. Funny thing...2 days later I got home from work, looked at my hands, and found 2 of the 10 nails were stripped bare. Kinda strange I thought. What do you think? (I'm still sporting 8 nails plus 2 bare.)

I think I had a similar thought so I’ve tried putting on a few extra coats which has worked. It just takes longer. Weird that they completely fell off! Did you use a base coat? It might also be helpful to buff your nail beds just a tiny bit to create a better bonding surface for the gel
My nails seem to be still tacky and I left in the light 90 seconds any suggestions?
Was this the color coat or the top coat?

How long did the gel last??
Lizbeth Ochoa it lasts for 2-3 weeks! It stays on pretty well for me
Did it chip or lift anytime in those three weeks?
hey heads up! i may be wrong but i believe you’re supposed to wipe the tacky layer off
Beetles has a no wipe top coat. It’s not necessary. Trust me I have it
