Try downsizing to 5. It’s tough but I find it liberating. That’s what I did. It helps that most of my watches are def on the luxury price margin so I don’t just compulsively buy. In the beginning of my watch journey I was always seeking to get the alternative or the homages cause I couldn’t fathom spending thousands, but it never and will never scratch that itch. if I have to sell I don’t take a big or no loss at all. I know people lifestyle/ taste are different. Also for me there aren’t enough days of the week to have 7+ watch collection. I really enjoy your content. keep doing your thing.
I think 5 is impossible for me lol... but I'll think about it. Maybe a hypothetical video idea? One of the 4 watches I'm aiming for this year is in the luxury tier, and thats the one I'm aiming for first. Trying to get the big boy out of the way... that might effect my decision for the rest of the year if I can buckle down and get that by March. I appreciate the words. Happy new year!
I'd debated selling my SKX007 before as well as it wasn't (and still somewhat doesnt) get wrist time as much as I feel it deserved but decided against it because its THE 007 if you get me? Idk maybe it might just be worth keeping because of what it is and what it means to you? I know you said about sentimentality not playing a factor and maybe it's my general bias like I said 😂 Excited to see what comes up within the next year though!
I feel that. There is a side of me that hopes the auction falls thru and gives me a reason to keep it, but more than anything, it’s for the cathartic exercise of being a complete savage. I’ll keep you posted with the deets loll. Happy new year my friend. Many blessings 2025
@TheFuturisticVintage that ruthlessness is needed I suppose so I can understand where you're coming from. I can sense the same issue coming for myself with my Lorier's because I've got the Gemini, olympia and if they do a reverse panda olympia I just know I'd like it but I also know I wouldn't like having all 3? Watches are weird man 😂 Happy new year!
Not afraid you might regret it a few weeks/months after? A bit like you, I get attached to my stuff. And like you said, focusing on more refine watches helps but still get some flashbacks after 😂. Great content 👍
Keeping the SSC911 then? ;) Did you see the link I posted a while back for the SSC911: rubber strap *with end links* from Crafter Blue? I bought one and it's perfect. Good luck with the sales, it's cathartic.
I think you also wake up and thought “hm 🤔 I think I’m going to try fingerless gloves today” 😂
Loll yoooo fingerless gloves is actually part of my winter uniform. Daily wear. Best investment.
Anticipation is killing me
No ragrats 2025

Good choice, good choice
Oooooo the SKX - growth through pain 👏🏽
I'm hurting bro.... but it must be done.
I think you made the right decision to sell. Less is more, realistically it’s incredible hard to wear every watch the more you have in the collection.
Thank you! Yea I ran into that as well.

Congratulations on making the decision to majorly downsize your collection. I hope the exercise brings you more clarity and enjoyment with the hobby.
Thank you! Yea it'll be a nice learning experience. Might be time to do the same thing with my camera bodies and lenses.
