A few mistakes were made here by TMM while presenting both versions of the perfect electric that will further spread misinformation and misconceptions across the community. The command history in this game not only tells you what you are inputting but also tells you for how many frames you have held down the direction or button which is the number next to it. (The minimum being 1 frame per input) 1. @9:00 That is NOT a perfect a electric. Even though the down input is 1 frame and the neutral is skipped, the forward input is 4 frames which means the electric was 5 + 11 = 16 frames instead of a perfect 13 frame. (Also pointed out by urahairywizard1 in chat @9:24) 2. @11:09 That is also NOT a perfect electric either because as you can see the forward is inputted for 3 frames and then theres 3 frames of neutral. So thats a 6 + 11 = 17 frame electric So if you are practicing perfect electrics with command history on, you not only have to look at what the input is saying but also the number next to it. Your command history should show 1 next to the forward, 1 next to the neutral or down, and then down forward and right punch. (The number here doesn't matter because the move animation starts as soon as you reach this point)

11:12 I don't understand why that is a perfect one. Isn't there 3 neutral frames? I thought for a perfect it would need to be only one? Thanks for the video though
No one talks about how hard it is to properly use the wind god fist. You punish with WIND god fist when your opponent whiffs from a distance that EWGF will also whiff. Once you can EWGF that's all you press lol. In higher levels of play it is rare but I seen JDCR do it and I just knew I would not have made that judgement call. I would have hoped my EWGF connected and it probably would not have.
@zesork5627 the speed and distance you can cover with with deep dash wind god fist surpasses what you get with a dash electric and with far less execution. The only point I am trying to make is that both have utility and we as mishima players ofteb overlook being able to utilize the WGF. I see whiff, I electric, in turn whiffing hahaha
@@DreadyDiggs Idk man, when i see a whiff my muscle memory makes me DDEWGF so i dont really whiff it. I want to always get the just frame for the extra damage and in case im late im not left at -10. A tournament setting is different so you wanna do the most easy reliable thing so you dont drop it like Kaz EWGF 314 df1df2, subpar but consistent. Anyway a wgf will come out anyway since ill drop the input every now and then so theres that.

I know this comment is gonna be lost, but I wanted to share that I learned how to do normal electrics consistently. It’s so fun hitting and landing them!
you are saying you can't buffer a perfect electric but i find myself hitting it more when i buffer the 2 input right after i press forward to neutral. The frame data and animations are the exact same as the one you are showing as a "perfect," electric. Interesting. Also i still use the down input as well to hit it so maybe that's why. I just tried your way as well without using the down input and it does seem the fastest way to hit it but harder to time for sure.
TMM can u explain how to do wave dash? Or wave stepping like how u do? I am a new player on the TEKKEN franchise and i would love to master the game and i find ur tutorials and tips r the best and super simple and beginner friendly. Would much appreciate that if u do have time and thx in advance!🙏
I don't know if it's my controller or just me, but every time I try a perfect electric with the second notation skipping down, I just get a df2. Imma keep practicing
I’m trying to pick up Devil Jin and am still generally new to Tekken as T8 is my first tekken. I wanna at least get the fundamental movement down a bit. Does the perfect electric input essentially mean getting a perfect wave dash input? And a bit unrelated, but how exactly do you crouch dash? Is that the same as wave dashing?
at 9:03 when you say you did a perfect electric, how is that a perfect electric? doesn't the first forward input also have to be 1 frame? that looks to be a 16 frame electric no hate, i know it's hard, but i did not see a single 13 frame electric (PEWGF) in this video
Whoa whoa whoa, those numbers next to the inputs are the (frames) after the input, so you say you did a PEWGF, but I'm seeing F(4), D(1), DF2. That's a 16 frame electric. It doesn't matter if you skipped the neutral, that's 16 frames. A PEWGF would show F(1), D(1), DF2(x), that'd be 13 frames. Edit: @UltimateBallaPOM has a good explanation as to why it is, in fact, a perfect electric. See below.
The Hardest part is pressing forward on stick since you'll usually get 3-4 frames on a normal tap, 2-3 if you try grass the switch. It's easer to do on KB since you can flick the key to reduce the time the switch is compressed, easier to get a single frame on the input. Stick is much harder and good luck if its not a Korean lever getting a perfect 13F electric in natural. I don't play pad, but maybe could be easier than stick with certain button configs (RP on left shoulder bumper) w/ usages of both pad + right analog using both hands on the left side of the pad. Also should point out, on punishes, you can simi-buffer with the first input, Forward. Since Mishimas will enter Mist-Step on the first active frame exiting block stun buffing Forward, you can then just enter Down-Forward on the first frame Mist-Step comes out, you'll get a 13 frame punish. Obviously still not easy, but you'll get some leniency since getting less then 3 frames directional input is the hardest part, and doable on any controller type.
@@virtual_z I was not defending anyone. I was just adding additional context and information for anyone reading the comments that might appreciate the information.
@@virtual_zits because the time did not reset, if you truly want to see a pewgf i suggest you try df2 to pewfg on Kazuya, because after df2 the frame resets so you might try for that or you might try spring kick block to pewgf and try to launch it and check the frames if its correct
People are starting to wake up!😭 You're correct, IN NEUTRAL that is a 16f electric. In hit or block stun, it doesn't matter how long you press forward, so long as you RELEASE it on the first active frame. So if timed perfectly, it would be 13f. Thank you for being super observant and questioning things🔥
Is it possible to enter wind god step after holding forward for a long time (ie 60 frames), then doing neutral, d, df? Also during hitstun, can you hold forward before your character is actionable, then when he is actionable release to neutral, d,df, or do you have to input the forward after the hutstun?
So when it goes for the perfect electric, do we need the inputs of each command to be 1, 1, 1 each? What do those numbers mean when regarding the inputs?
In neutral yes, but that's almost never going to be the case. In block or hit stun, the forward can be any number of frames, what's important is releasing forward on the first active frame. The next two inputs have to be just frames(neutral/down for 1f and df+2 on the next frame. The df+2 can be pressed for however long because the electric will come out either way the moment you df+2 is registered, but it's a just frame because you did it in the next frame after down/neutral)
question about the execution: no matter what i do, no matter how fast i am, the inputs are always 2+ frames, the only input that i've been able to do in 1 frame is neutral, and i have 500 hours, so idk if it's skill issue or some type of secret or what (i play leverless haute t16)
Its way easier on Leverless than on stick for a single frame input. Just "flick" or slide off the button on the very edge of the button so it will minimize the frames the switch is compressed. A technique you can practice is using 2 fingers for the forward input. Example: P1 side, Flick forward with the Index on the edge, then as the index slides off, follow by having the Middle + Ring fingers hit Down + Forward, executing all that in 3 frames.
If your neutral is 1f and the df+2 is on the next frame then you're already there. It will be a timing thing of when you enter your forward. View matches of known Kazuya players who do PEWGF. most of them aren't pressing forward for 1f
Any tips on doing electrics a pad? With the dual sense controller, pressing down on the pad too hard can also input "down forward". The double inputs make even regular electrics almost impossible. It's annoying to say the least.
@@midaignesvittu glad I’m not the only one. What’s the best option controller wise for stuff like this? I play Jack and Bryan so I understand the concept perfect frame inputs pretty well but electrics are something else on pad. I need something that will help be more consistent.
Press forward, then with the same motion hitting down, slide your thumb towards forward + 2. It should "feel" like Forward, "Down" + 2, with "Down" meaning sliding towards Forward. I've also heard from pad players its easier if you map 2 on the left bumper trigger. Something about having all inputs done and the same hand makes it easier.
Just tested this on a pad and was getting Short-cut electrics consistantly (F, *, DF+2), if you are willing to shift your right hand to the left side of the pad for Electrics. Assign 2 + 3 marco on Left bumper trigger, then press forward, then with your right hand use the analog stick to press DF and reach with right index to the left bumper for the DF +2. Pretty easy, but does require you to move your hand a bit.
Somebody please make a mod where kazuya's electric is replaced with mainman's "DORIYAH" and jins "DIEEEH" (hei and dj can also have doriyahs just to emphasize on jin being the femboy")

You punish with dash electric
@zesork5627 the speed and distance you can cover with with deep dash wind god fist surpasses what you get with a dash electric and with far less execution.
The only point I am trying to make is that both have utility and we as mishima players ofteb overlook being able to utilize the WGF.
I see whiff, I electric, in turn whiffing hahaha
@@DreadyDiggs Idk man, when i see a whiff my muscle memory makes me DDEWGF so i dont really whiff it. I want to always get the just frame for the extra damage and in case im late im not left at -10. I dont see much of a difference in ranges like you say if one dashes in properly. A tournament setting is different so you wanna do the most easy reliable thing so you dont drop it like Kaz EWGF 314 df1df2, subpar but consistent.
Anyway a wgf will come out anyway since ill drop the input every now and then so theres that.
Kids: Mr Heiachi did you die?
Heihachi: sadly yes, but I lived
I’m a Jin main but that impression at 0:14 was hilarious
9:05 how do you even go directly into down without going into neutral 1st?
Great Video! Thanks for the easy to follow instructions👌🏼
The first notation of f~df2 the neutral has to be 1 frame cos my goat didn’t explain that in the video
This is why learning to use a Hitbox controller is super helpful for Mishima players
The most optimal way.
Good luck on P2 side though🔥😂
Stick player here, korean lever makes this too easy. Only thing is the learning curve but once you get past that, your movement and overall natural feel will be infinitely better
given that you can guarantee a qcf2 from f1+2 with heihachi, is it possible to get a pewgf from this (much like kazuya's df2 into pewgf)?
I know this comment is gonna be lost, but I wanted to share that I learned how to do normal electrics consistently. It’s so fun hitting and landing them!
nice content
wait for more content for heihachi beginners!
you are saying you can't buffer a perfect electric but i find myself hitting it more when i buffer the 2 input right after i press forward to neutral. The frame data and animations are the exact same as the one you are showing as a "perfect," electric. Interesting. Also i still use the down input as well to hit it so maybe that's why. I just tried your way as well without using the down input and it does seem the fastest way to hit it but harder to time for sure.
tbh, skipping down was the best step for me to do the 13 frame electric.
Does OTGF also have two perfect notaions, or is it just f n df2?
TMM can u explain how to do wave dash? Or wave stepping like how u do?
I am a new player on the TEKKEN franchise and i would love to master the game and i find ur tutorials and tips r the best and super simple and beginner friendly.
Would much appreciate that if u do have time and thx in advance!🙏
Can devil jin also skip the neutral and do F, D, D/F+2 or does he have to do F, N, D/F+2 for pewgf?
I practice this input with HWO’s sky rocket blue spark.
Thanks main man for the video. Appreciate it .
Why pewgf can launch -13 if frame counter at the input log says that f,d unputs took summary more that 2 frames? Like 5-6, or more.
Because what is important is WHEN you release forward.
The down/neutral and df+2 have to be frame perfect though.
Great question, my friend.
It's funny with reina i can do EGEF perfectly but with jin kazuya and heihachi my axx is trash 😢😢
So how much better is it playing fighting games like this on a pad vs a regular controller ?
I don't know if it's my controller or just me, but every time I try a perfect electric with the second notation skipping down, I just get a df2. Imma keep practicing
Thats probably why he said that input is weirder.
Is that the same as wave dashing?
at 9:03 when you say you did a perfect electric, how is that a perfect electric? doesn't the first forward input also have to be 1 frame? that looks to be a 16 frame electric
no hate, i know it's hard, but i did not see a single 13 frame electric (PEWGF) in this video
@@digitaljin8362 well, just because it's hard doesn't defend the fact that he called it something it's not
@@virtual_z I was not defending anyone.
People are starting to wake up!😭
You're correct, IN NEUTRAL that is a 16f electric.
In hit or block stun, it doesn't matter how long you press forward, so long as you RELEASE it on the first active frame. So if timed perfectly, it would be 13f.
Thank you for being super observant and questioning things🔥
o shit i didn't know the second input, I'm cooking now, that one's so much easier
...I've been watching TMM since 2012 and this entire time, I thought he was doing PEWGF using the f,n,d/f+2 input
always find it funny how I find PEWGF is 10 times easier than normal EWGF...
Is it possible to enter wind god step after holding forward for a long time (ie 60 frames), then doing neutral, d, df? Also during hitstun, can you hold forward before your character is actionable, then when he is actionable release to neutral, d,df, or do you have to input the forward after the hutstun?
Yes, it's possible in stun.
Great question.
3:00 i mean if you include heat it probably kazuya db12 heat dash
What??
The one move I get so infuriated trying to get consistent with as a new Mishima player, still got a long ways to go lol😖
Alright, after hearing your PEWGF explanation I can see why that would be as hard as TJU. It's basically 3 frame perfect inputs in a row.
Okay yeah I've done a complete 180, in the situations where you want to use this, PEWGF is absolutely harder than TJU probably
also easier to consistently hit a jet upper than a normal ewgf
@@chicx423???????
Lol no@@chicx423
So when it goes for the perfect electric, do we need the inputs of each command to be 1, 1, 1 each? What do those numbers mean when regarding the inputs?
In neutral yes, but that's almost never going to be the case.
In block or hit stun, the forward can be any number of frames, what's important is releasing forward on the first active frame. The next two inputs have to be just frames(neutral/down for 1f and df+2 on the next frame. The df+2 can be pressed for however long because the electric will come out either way the moment you df+2 is registered, but it's a just frame because you did it in the next frame after down/neutral)
😂😂😂idk but 6:19 made me say "absolutely nuuuthing"
What controller is he using? A pad or a hitbox? Or stick?
Im sorry, but there is a giant hard glizzy these mishimas are fighting by. Glance that shadow 6:53
question about the execution: no matter what i do, no matter how fast i am, the inputs are always 2+ frames, the only input that i've been able to do in 1 frame is neutral, and i have 500 hours, so idk if it's skill issue or some type of secret or what (i play leverless haute t16)
Thankyou brother
I thought you switched to the player 2 side for the second notation. Nothing changed. I skip neutral for my input. Skipping down feels so awkward
i don't get why input F (3 frames) d (1 frame) df2 is perfect electric. if i hold F for 3 frames it's already a 15 frames electric, no?
In neutral, yes.
In stun, if you release forward on the first active frame it will be a 13f.
TMM will understand this one day.
Great comment.
So basically, be faster than light, and get a perfect electric😂
How do you go from forward to down without passing through neutral?
Practice and try various hand techniques that work for you, then practice a crap load again.
I’m practicing this hard ass move now lol.
Any tips on doing electrics a pad? With the dual sense controller, pressing down on the pad too hard can also input "down forward". The double inputs make even regular electrics almost impossible. It's annoying to say the least.
its very inconsistent on a pad!
Pretty easy, but does require you to move your hand a bit.
ok fk i think imma break my fight stick before i land a pewgf
What the fuck I am learning new things about this game
That’s how life works
If they just made Jin's DEH a little more like DJ's it would be perfect (no pun intended).
Somebody please make a mod where kazuya's electric is replaced with mainman's "DORIYAH" and jins "DIEEEH" (hei and dj can also have doriyahs just to emphasize on jin being the femboy")
If I knew how to perfect EWGF, or even a EWGF, I would play them.
everybody who does know started the same way, u just gotta play to learn. good luck bro
Jins so busted he doesn’t need an electric to win, problem solved
How will you ever know when you don't play the characters...?
Let that be motivation to practice. I thought the exact same thing and just assumed playing mishimas was out of my reach because it was too hard to do consistent EWGFs. The main thing is to just practice through the frustration. Belief isn't even required, just stubbornness. Trust me, we've all been there.
Lol practice and patience my friend
I personally like electric into electric
Kuma has the best electrics in the game
Just picked him up and the literal first thing I did was see devil Jin’s special dialogue. Did not expect the heat smash dialogues but cmon no win or game start dialogue?
My electrics are always inconsistent I can get two in a row most times. I used to practice it everytime before I get into a match but i stopped which fucked up my timing
7:53 RIGHT?? I'm pretty sure an electric would decapitate irl
Bro how tf is that even possible. That feels insanely difficult
For some reason for normal electrics I find f,n,df2 to be easier than f,n,d,df2. I am on leverless.
is just frame skyrocket same difficulty as perfect electric? f,n,df+attack
If you are talking about doing the shortest frames of input possible from into the attack, 3 frames, then yes. Same as Heihachi's True Omen Thunder Fist.
