This is very nice, but it is honestly too fast for any singer to impart any emotion or get a breath in. Maybe if you listened to Lisa Brescia's version, you could change the tempo a bit. Thank you so much! I am working on this song right now and I can't keep up with your version. Very compelling for piano music on its own, though.

While I realize it's fast, I can sing it at that tempo with great enthusiasm and storytelling. So can she. So can the fantastic singer I most recently performed this with. To say it's "too fast for any singer to impart any emotion" isn't a fair statement. To say that it's too fast for *you* is most certainly correct, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. All singers are different. But when I post a recording online, I get one take (I won't post three recordings at three different tempi), and so I'm going to choose the one I like the best. Hope that helps contextualize my reasoning. And go listen to Audra if you haven't already!
