Inexperienced PUG Tank POPS OFF In My Key! [Pugging Week 1]

- My first week of pugging was a wild mix of positive and negative experiences. My primary goal was to get my own key as high as possible and to get as much item level as possible before the end of the week.
Pugging My Way Up is a series in which I (raider in BDGG and former MDI "competitor") enter the world of pugs in World of Warcraft. I won't play with anyone I know, and nobody will know who I am. This season I am playing a Devastation Evoker, and my first goal is Keystone Master.

Soooo pumped for this season! Also you guys did amazing on the race. Its an unbelievable amount of work!
The wholesome chat is so good to see. I was running keys this week and put "Completion and Chill" in a RLP +9 and met some of the most chill gamers that were really good on top of that. We ended up running keys up to a +14 and even timing all them. Before that the biggest thing I tanked was a +8 bc I was worried about how I would perform but they gave me a big boost of confidence by how great and chill my group was.
Love this series, glad to have it back.

It's nice to see this being much more uptempo than the past few seasons, shadowlands and bfa really slogged it down with all the little things you needed to prep. Keystone hero this season, perhaps?

i heard that their surviability is little bit meh - especially because their big stun and dps deep breath makes them essentialy not doing anything and flying into sh...:D

I wonder, was that mass leaving during the instance server bug? I know there were at least a couple days where people their groups kept getting disbanded at completely random times.
Nah this was last week, group wasn't being disbanded they all left one at a time
Oh you got hit by the bug in rlp. The last boss tank cleaves the nearest target when he mounts or something. It has killed many.
Did they remove repair cost or some shit? I couldnt handle that
People say bm hunter is easy but dps evoker is on a whole new level of easy. Really fun to have as an alt.
Easy to do damage, but also easy to murder yourself doing the damage sometimes
BM Hunter is easy to play badly, but the amount of people who drop Frenzy/ToTH early expac and therefore like all of their DPS is high.

You know I walk into LFR as a tank ( ILVL392 not needing anything ) just to help others and I've met some really chill tanks that didn't know how to tank the fights and or under geared
i was always cool with tanks learning mechanic if they actually told in chat first time tanking this, nopthing bad about that
The 2 bow drops while there was 1 hunter hurts me so bad

Totally agree about the toxic range of keys! Right now +8 has been super toxic for me. Had a healer that refused to do the afflicted healing or poison removal and would do 70% dps and 30% healing. His dps and healing was garbage. And blamed me lmao.
To whoever sees this, i routinely run LFR on a well over geared healer to help try get people some kills, i have macros laid out to spam in /rw when needed, however, when you get bored and ninja pull the boss its 99% likely a wipe as no one was ready, it doesnt help, you dont make it faster, you dont get det stacks for insta wipes, just wait! if you dont have patience then dont go to LFR hoping for free loot.

I have not played the new DF yet but I think wow just needs to get rid of the current looting system with chests.. Its not fun anymore not getting anything the whole dungeon run and then never getting what you want in the chest and to feel like you didn't progress at all and you basically wasted all that time to have to do it all over again.

Why do people act like pugging is hard? i went from 0-2200 in my first 2 weeks of keys on a class i havent played since 2012 and ive zero m+ experience
