I own a 2001 last of the gear driven cams, sorry but I wouldn't trade for 2 v -tec models .
I have a 1999 5th Gen, way better motor than the crappy V-tec ...never sell mine.
another mapping, more smooth. You need to have powercommander to do it. And the usual mods. This one is is a keeper!

Engine sounds normal to me?
I know it's technically better than my 86 VFR750, but mine beats it hands down in looks.
