    I love clips where you change the components of a laptop, or when you apply termal paste. Regards !

      Hey thanks for watching! Applying the thermal pads is super easy as they're self adhesive and pre-cut (at least, the ones I got). You simply place it on the SSD on the side facing away from the motherboard.
      Alternatively if you have a thin laptop like the Dell XPS, you can place it on the laptop cover directly adjacent to the SSD.

      @@andreas1701d Can you send me a link from where to buy ? I have an intel i660p SSD but it gets very hot and I am kind of noob in applying thermal paste :D

      @@alinalin7379 This is what I used... There's no paste to apply and the pads are pre-cut. You really just place them on your SSD and put it back in its slot.

      Hey thanks for watching! I cover data transfer at about 1:44 of this video. There really isn't much more to it, the software does all the work for you.
      Could you be more specific about what exactly you feel is missing?

    Hi, did you tested the Samsung magician software? Were you able to activate turbo mode? did you get the same results on crystal disk mark?

    • @andreas1701d
      @andreas1701d  3 года назад +1

      Hey thanks for watching! I am using the magician software, though I haven't needed to use the diagnostic tools yet.
      For the Full Power mode, I have it disabled because my system is already running the drive fairly hot (~50° C under normal use) so I wouldn't want to risk bottlenecking the system due to cooling inefficiency. The speed I'm getting is more than enough for my use so it's not a huge deal for me.

      @@andreas1701d Thank you for returning my comment and for the amazing review. As a suggestion, It would be even more interesting if it were possible to include the turbo mode performance and cooling effects.

      @@anyNameHere So I just ran a quick test.
      The drive is currently at 52% capacity. I ran benchmarks using both CrystalDisk and Samsung Magician. Interestingly, Magician returns consistently higher results by about 10% on every test by the way. I ran the benchmark 3 times with each one.
      Turning on the Full Power option in Magician made virtually no difference in the benchmarks in either software. Each test in both read and write speeds returned roughly a 5-7% variance up or down, however turning the option on did increase the drive temperature about 4° C (from 60 to 64) during the tests.
      Hope this helps!

    Another good tip is to put a towel under the laptop, that was your screws will not roll away if they have a towel under them, holding them in place.

      Hey thanks for watching! That's a terrific idea... Wouldn't that increase the risk of static charges though? I don't know enough about that stuff to know. I suppose you could use a rubber mat too if that's the case.

      @@andreas1701d I think as long as you don't move your laptop around a lot that it would not build up any static. But that is just my opinion.
