For anyone with mental health issues, maintaining a steady job is ambitious. $700 is approximately 25% of what she earns from actually working, so it's ridiculous to think that that small amount would make her think she has it made and doesn't need to continue working. She said she enjoys her job, it just doesn't bring a large income.
I guess you also missed the part where she said she has a degree and is thinking to pursue that again. She may be lacking direction, but apparently she listens to Dave, so I'd say she's working pretty hard to keep it together.

Dave is wrong about his generalization about the delivery for the major pizza chains. I was a driver for 3 years for Pizza Hut in San Diego. I quit in 2019. I was the fastest driver and reliable before I left. Long story short, they always violated labor laws. I got money 3 times for the years from class action lawsuits from summitwest pizza (holding co. Of the franchises) due to breaking labor laws constantly. They don’t like people working more than 29 hrs a week unless they are a “General Manager”. That is how they legally get out of paying healthcare. They treated workers bad. Bad management. Toxic work environment. They didn’t build up staff. They screw drivers on mileage. There are a lot of legitimate reasons why they can’t find labor, and the short answer is because they are legit a bad employer. I think it is ridiculous that the laws incentivize people to offer only part time positions for a job that could be full time. It doesn’t make sense.
