Note at 1:45 when you are texting the customer, Not every customer will have a mobile phone and it is not uncommon for the message to get bounced back, If there is an urgent issue it is recommended to call the number if texting does not work or there is no response. My two cents.

How is it so far...working wise? Is the Doordash app easy to use? I was told that it's best to track your miles and your gas and all your expenses for your car. I'm really looking to join on just kind of on the fence I rather work on my own time then somebody else's which is really nice.
I signed up and wasn't even required to attend an orientation. It blows my mind that DoorDash has never even bothered to create tutorial videos for their own drivers.
I know u know how to get to your own house but really skipped the 1 part I was watching this for cuz my door dash messed up after i picked up the food and couldn't find out where the customer lived
Do you know the diner drop off location before accepting an order? That's what I hate about UberEats. You don't know where you are going to drop off until after you accept and pick up the food.
Today was my 2nd time dashing and I had many issues on 3 deliveries. I clicked on 'dash now' then I didn't see anywhere on the screen where I was supposed to go (restaurant). So, I clicked on 'directions' then 'start' and the google map lady took me all over the place causing extra delays.....and....while driving I get text message to 'accept' delivery which you cannot use the cell or text while driving. When I am within 100 feet of the restaurant; then door dash screen shows who the order is for, the restaurant etc. but not before. Had google maps lady (off the door dash app) send me to wrong restaurant and wrong house. Not good. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you
I’m in the South Buffalo zone and am from Hamburg, and have been averaging around $23 an hour after subtracting gas, the area seems good to dash in! I like it as a side hustle aside from my normal job when home from college. Thanks for the extra tips to help
Someone mentioned that their andriod turned into white screen and is not able to work. I have had the same issue for about a week. I went on youtube and found someone talking about android screens are going to white screens. But, IOS you know, Iphones, Ipads works fine. So I broke out my Ipad Mini, put the latest operating system in it, snatched my sim card out of my Samsung 8 plus, put it in the Ipad and now I'm on my way back to work. It works fine folks. Drop the android for now and put it in the Iphone.
Did doordash for the first time today and it seemed like a mess!! Why do you get multiple deliveries at one time?? Shouldn't you just get one and then complete that and get another. Iaccepted another order thinking that it wasn't going to have me started until I was done with my first one but it had me going from the first restaurant pick up to the second restaurant pick up and then to the customers. It was just all over the place!
Stacking orders (accepting multiple orders at the same time) is the best way to maximize your pay, but don't accept stacked orders when you're first starting out. Get comfortable with using the app first, that way you minimize your risk of getting unfavorable reviews from customers for being late, mixing up orders, missing items, etc... I agree that the app needs some serious refining, though. It's confusing af when you're first starting out, and DD hasn't even bothered to create tutorial videos for their drivers.
It tells you how far it will be to get to the restaurant but I need to know how far is the customer away from the restaurant before I accept the order.
I'm a new dasher and I felt the same way. I noticed once an order came through, it has the map up top that has your location, restaurant and the customer location (house image), so I clicked above the house for the distance from the restaurant to the customer.
Everytime i try an advance in my application process of becoming a dasher it says action required on background check then i go to my email and there is nothing for me to do? Please help im not sure hoe to get to my activation kit process?
How do i assign a Is specific ringtone or sound on the dasher app... My friend is a doordasher and it's not making a sound when it's getting orders for her to deliver

I just started doordash, and I’m trying to do my first order. I’ve scheduled myself for dashing a few times, but I always get a text during my scheduled blocks saying I’m not signed in. How exactly do I “sign in.”
Hi. I’m from Canada and was trying to fill out the form online. They ask for addresses all the way from August 2015 and 2 photo ID to be attached. They do a criminal record check and a credit check through Equifax. Was that how it was for you as well?
I just signed up today and apparently they are hiring dashers in my area. So my question is it says complete your first delivery and then get your red card. Well I only be able to complete one delivery? I was going to try to work tomorrow.
I usually do,and at that point I asl if I can grab them any xtras like condiments and utensils. I think they appreciate reaching out and then u also have proof in the event there is ever an issue like someone claiming they never got their food delivered.
Some restaurants, mostly fast food chains, require the dasher to place the order and pay for the food. The red card is what you use to pay for the order.

@@latoyiab79, there are some good RUclipsrs out there for DD. Bentley Coup's channel helped me a lot when I was starting out.

You can see that in the moment you got an offer. You have to know your area and see what is the total miles you have to drive.

Eric or others, what happens if you accept an order, then get a couple more immediately but do not accept or decline? Just letting them pass by...
You should just be able to accept one at a time. This is a good question though.
Also if you pass on a bunch of orders it hurts your reception rate which hurts your overall score which can impact how many orders you get offered.
