  • In this video I show how I approach a problem raised by another Shapeoko 3 user who wanted to create raised text over a multi-tiered surface. We go over setting up Carbide Create, drawing the geometry, setting up toolpaths, and showing the final product in CC's simulation.
If you have a project and want to see how I address it be sure to leave a comment below.

I have been trying to do a project with stacked text and I can't seem to get the tool paths to cut the first and last names in a stacked design and then cut out the rest of the plaque at the lowest point of the bottom of the stacked text. Would you be willing to look at my project and provide some insight or guidance? Thanks in advance.

Check out the Shapeoko and Nomvad Users Group on Facebook. I and others would be happy to look.

I have found that you don't need a boolean operation to do this.
