+Teammm I was simply referring to the thought of a tribute to Mariah cause ,after all, that is what it (kinda) was. We all know what Alex is capable of, so there was no shade. Plus I did say I would have (preferred) to sing those songs, not meaning that that's what would've ended up being sung. I will say that his rendition sound better than Rihanna's (before fame), no shade there either, I love Rihanna, & Anti is historical. But I just think that Alex didn't perform like he normally does, which made it a disappointment cause as soon as I saw the thumbnail, I was like, "Oh he finna kill it." Then I was simply like, "Oh."

First of all, she has an amazing voice and power. The performance wasnt without mistakes, but for God's sake, she is singing in front of Mariah Carey. I met Mariah live, I couldnt talk when I was in front of her.

Yeah, I agree. He's a great vocalist but is inconsistent when singing vocals that don't require that much range or flexibility. Hero is one of Mariah's least vocal required songs. It's gentle, and Alex's approach to singing is anything but. He should work on it.

You can hear it's pure nerves, and there were like 2 or 3 flat notes through the song. Definitely not that bad. We're just expecting a lot from Alex cause we know what he's capable of.
