Gurl you'd be so proud of me! I just saved a curly girl at Target, when she reached for a hair straightener and I was like No! Not the curls! She did not know anything about her curly hair. I was able to point out products to her that I learned from your channel. Hopefully she'll be subscribing to you soon. ♥️ #SaveTheCurls #CurlSquad
Chaunice Figueiredo I understand you wanting to help her embrace her curls (I mean I follow the curly method myself) but some people still prefer to straighten their hair and it’s ok. It’s a lot of upkeep compared to a wash, blow, and press every week of two. I also feel that embracing your curly hair is a personal journey cause everyone told me to keep my curls but I still flat ironed them and begged my mom to take me to get a relaxer.
@@BenMeier814 Of course. Thank you for reaching out. I just told her that I loved her curly hair. I'm sure she'll continue to do what she wants but she actually was really interested in learning about her curly hair and how to take care of them.
Chaunice Figueiredo that’s awesome! Thank you for doing it respectfully! I’ve seen quite a few people from the curly community be very aggressive and sometimes even insulting when trying to encourage others to embrace their natural curls
They came out sooooo pretty. My mama use to do my braids and them were TOIGHT!!! 🤣But would loosen the next day, and would last for weeks. She hasn't braided my hair since I've been natural (3yrs) but recently I installed (myself) some Senegalese twist...it's not the same. 🤧 they came out really good, but I like when my mama does it.
4 hours would be a dream for me. I got my hair put in Senegalese twists 3 weeks ago and it took 9 hours and the take down process...uuuuuuugggggggh! 4 hours if I really hustle.
Girl i was watching say yes to the dress yesterday and guess whose face and pretty curls i see? I’m probably super late on that but i was like AYY THERE GO MY GIRL
Your braids look beautiful! It makes me want to get braids again but the lady who did mine did it too tight. The first two days felt like someone was pulling my skull and my scalp was super itchy. 😫😫😫
Braids came out great bianca😊😍. I was thinking about doing my own protective style in my hair with some marley hair I bought like a few mths aback and havent used. 😊
Braids can be a little uncomfortable if you're tender headed (during the process of putting the weave in) , with stylers you have to be vocal, if you don't want it tight or want your edges out say it beforehand. Usually with braiding they will tuck your real hair under the synthetic one so there isn't a desperate need to wash the individual braids. However, your scalp parting needs to washed/greased, this will help with the frizz and I hate the frizz & flyaways because it doesn't look neat anymore and adding new growth (for me ill just have to take it out quicker than I expected).
Loveee it! I would like to see and hear ur review for the shea moisture products! What did u used after washing your hair before getting ur braids? A leave in? Im also getting braids #excited
Hey Bianca ! Love the braids you rock them well & while I did truly enjoy this video you said something that got my head spinning with questions. The purpose of the braids was to protect your hair while you’re on vacation & summer right ? Wellll what recommendations do you have for curly girls who opt out of braids during vacation orrrr curly girls like me who live 5 minutes away from the beach & never know how to take their but home 😂 . How do curly girls enjoy the summer & the beach without wreaking havoc on their hair. So far I’ve done good with sticking to my 1x a week washes ( a time for 2 the sand got the best of me & I HAD to wash more often ) .. anyway you can let me in / us on some more tips and tricks .. perhaps do a video or point me in the direction of one ? #SaveTheCurlsButEnjoyTheSummer lol . Thanks in advance 💗
Uhh I’m getting flashbacks from when I had box braids (in my profile pic) I guess I underestimated how fine my hair was at the top, Bc the rest of my hair is really thicc. To make a long story short, my scalp started scarring and I would get major headaches (they weren’t even heavy or tight) I had to take them out after only 6 days and they took sooo long.☹️
I usually use a spray bottle to dampen my scalp first and then I may add oil. The water makes a difference in the itchiness. I think it gets itchy because it has tension from the braids but also because it isn't getting product or water at all. Water is everything and moisturizes my scalp really well. I think the oil works like a sealant once my scalp is damp from the water.
I love box braids! I turned my curly hair into an afro #sheaiighttho she's growing on me #punintended but I do miss my defined curls. I'm such a sucker for definition, ever since I big chopped and styled my hair w/curl enchanting smoothie. My ig is @araybrwn if anyone wants to take a look. Yass for the Shea Moisture review! Might get some for my trip
Did you had any issues with the salty ocean during your vacation? I am going to let my hair braid and I am a bit panicked because a friend told me that the braids get out really fast if you are going to swim with it (pool and ocean) Ps. I am sorry for every grammar or spelling mistake (I am not from an english-speaking country)
When i get protective styles depending on the style (“box” braids feed in faux locs) i keep them a month or 6 weeks locs i keep the longest at almost 3 months
Omg love your box braids ❤. I love your videos the help me so much. I really need your help now I accidentally use a moisturizer that loosen my curls and theirs no video on that only heat damage videos I really need help I been 6 years growing my curls y really don't what to cut them of. Please help.
I wish that I could do these braids! I have long curly hair too, but I feel like I would get too many dirty looks because I’m white and I don’t know if I would be judged for having box braids.
I just got braids done for the first time and my scalp itches so much it’s driving me crazy. I’ve heard apple cider vinegar but it doesn’t seem to help me I love my braids I don’t want to lose them yet. I’d love to hear about the product you mentioned. Shea braids line I think. Thanks so much your video was also very helpful.
I want to get braids like this for my summer vacation but I am white. I have 3C curls, but whenever I try to do a protective style I am called out for cultural appropriation. It is not obvious that I am mixed race as I am very fair. What can I do. :(
I just took some braids out Sis 😁 First off I love ya, love love! Always watch your videos, notification squad, insta & snap!! I appreciate this video for many reasons. Other than the fact that I myself need this video. I can always learn something new. I appreciate this video because you’re audience isn’t just POC and there’s always a discussion sometimes even arguments when WOC are approached by other races about how we keep our natural hair to our protective styles. And sometimes we don’t have the best way to communicate, but here we can add input, anyone can ask questions without fear or backlash because people are honestly interested. We ourselves are getting answers so we can next time answer someone else. I hope I’m making sense lol. I just love your channel and how you do things and how our family is ❤️ For 4 hours that’s not bad at all, I got large braids and they took 3 hours. They are super cute 😍 and I love the multi color. Yes do s review on the products pleaseeee!! Idk where I can find them I don’t see them anywhere.

Tellys Thoughts you may have been allergic to the braiding hair. You might have to do an ACV wash on the hair before you use the hair.
