I’m glad you let people know you can wash braids. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen women walking around with braids that they have had for like a month and a half and haven’t washed once....so nasty 🤢.
emylishepherd84 I had braids for 3 monthes, I whashed it every week (I don't remember how much times per week but not a lot), but I got SO MUCH BUILDUP from washing my hair with a head&shoulders shampoo, I probably didn't rinse the shampoo perfectly from the scalp.. but having box braids is getting me too tired... and the buildup after it... Gosh...
Try diluting your favorite shampoo with water in a spray bottle, spray it directly on your scalp, scrub, then rinse. That way you won’t use too much product. Also, it sounds like washing every week is too much for you. Maybe try every two weeks and see how that works. ים ליפשיץ
Nicole Diaz I did, but I did put in crochet braids after watching this, I live in the UK 🇬🇧 I got my cousin to bring me over a bottle of the no rinse cleanser and it worked really well, I will have to get my cousin to send me some more of the products ❤️❤️
Sis before you install your hair, soak the hair in acv b4 the install and your head won't itch. The itching is a alergic reaction to the alkaline on the synthetic hair.
V Chase so, I bought the "antimicrobial" kind of kanekalon* hair. It is supposed to reduce the reaction, but I don't feel like it is working. Still itches like crazy. Only leave in conditioner relieved the itch.
@@ann35211ableThen the itching could be from dry scalp issues, which is pretty normal in protective styles because the scalp is always exposed and not covered up like when you have your natural hair out. But you might also be allergic to the braiding hair itself. Try yarn braids. Best decision I've ever made. My braids look more even, because the yarn is so much easier to work with than nasty ass extension hair, it's lightweight, my hair feels super moisturized when I take the braids out after one or even _two_ months, AND there's no itching from the hair at all. Only itching I get is if my scalp is dry, like I said, in which case I just use some diy scalp oil to moisturize my scalp and hair. And I spray my braids every single day with some water mixed with cheap store bought conditioner and peppermint oil. My hair has never felt healthier. Try it, I can vouch for this 100%!
Just so y'all know the Shea Moisture no rinse foam cleanser works amazing as dry shampoo for curly hair. I had it from when I got boxbraids and I didn't have dry shampoo and I used it and it worked amazing, and took away any oil and greasyness. So I highly recommend it as dry shampoo.
Glad that you mentioned people can wash their braids. There are so many women that don’t and it makes their hair stink when they have it in for a month
Girl! I got sunburned in my scalp yesterday at the lake man! I should’ve watched this earlier! Well I’ve been spraying aloe spray on my scalp constantly. Helpful video!
You always come with your videos right when I need them,I was thinking about this line but no big curly gurus had a review on them and I wanted too be sure, because its true, Shea moisture did think of common protective styles strugles like that whole line is amazing
Thank you for this video and these products. I had my hair braided before but didn’t know how to clean them or anything. Now i know for the next time i get braids.
Cantu also has a product to soothe itching and irritation without washing. It has apple cider vinegar and peppermint oil. It's for braids, weaves, and extensions.
When I got my first set of plaits the No Rinse Foam Cleaner and the Itch Relief Serum SAVED my life lol. I love this line from when I had my braids. I can say I don't like how the foam caused a little frizz bc of my rubbing and using a microfiber towel to get the extra moisture from it out so next time I'm going to use the Build-up Buster.
Loved this video! It’s been super helpful, I need to find this line somehow. They really thought of everything, lol. Can’t wait to see the takedown video 🤗 love you Bianca 😩🖤
Hi Bianca, Could you pretty pretty please!!!!!! Make a video about you taking down your braids and how you refresh your hair and what products you use to help your hair out of the braids phase because that’s the only way my sister wears her hair to grow out her curls. Because this video was 1000% helpful for her. Thank you 💚
you’ve had those braids longer than i expected 😭i wanna try them someday. when youre done with them you should try curlformers someday and post your results with them!!💖💖
Try dove soap sensitive skin‼️ it clears my skin everytime I break out. Then add the blue bottle of Aveeno (the dark blue bottle) it says skin relief. I guarantee it will work
How bout BraidyFriends? I live in Florida and I believed the hype about blacks not burning. Child plz. I got so burnt including in-between my braids. I looked like a box of corn flakes...great vid..love the background music. You Poppin' baby girl. A little vapor rub helps with the itch too in a pinch🏝️ I have to be careful with synthetic hair so rinse in vinegar or witch hazel. I spray my scalp with Seabreeze....it's amazing
Ehemm girl! Condition your hair! Your hair is woven into the synthetic hair not covering your hair. You dont have to use your high end conditioner but use something. Trust and believe your hair will be dry and mad at you if you dont
Omg. These recommendations saved👏🏽me👏🏽. Especially the itch relief product. Thank you sooo much! Love them all. I already use perfumes so I’m really happy they smell nice but aren’t super fragrant. So grateful! 😄
I love watching your videos This was so helpful becuase everytime I get braids it's like I'm allergic to the hair and my scalp be on FIREEEEEEE like I wanna take scissors and cut from the roots 😂and my hair is very curly my hair smell water it curls up! I'm trying dry shampoo and Cantu hair spray and ogx coconut oil spray its helped a little but I'm definitely going to try this line !
So you're not conditioning your hair while in braids???? I usually add oil with water to spray on my hair to keep my natural curly hair healthy. I keep my box braids in for 8wks. Great video!! Will try these new products. Next wk I'm getting braids again.💝
I’m thinking it’s the same process as dry shampoo. There’s probably a certain chemical in it that dissolves the dirt away. That’s why when you use dry shampoo you’re not supposed to continuously spray in one spot or you’ll have a chemical burn on your scalp.
I had the absolutely worst experience with braids the last time I got them. My scalp was burning and I got bumps on my hair line. I’m not sure if this was a bad reaction to the hair because of chemicals it was treated with or what though. The hair was blonde though, not the usual Black is gone with in the past.
Most of the time, and this happened to me as well, you might have a allergy to alkaline, something they use to make it heat retardant. One way you could get rid of it is to wash the hair, before you braid it, with apple cider vinegar. Just mix 1-2 cups and add around 4-5 cups of water, rinse and let it soak for 20 minutes. Then rinse it out and then braid it. If you braid it before cleansing it, use a apple cider root rinse when you wash it. Sorry for this being super late, but I hope it helps!
How do you keep your curls from poppin out 😱 Not just frizz, like the ends of your hair poppjn out. I got mine done last year and my curls were Poppin out and my scalp felt like it was DYING.
I live in the UK, for the summer I had installed crochet braids, I asked my cousin who lives in the US to bring me over bottle of the cleansing foam, I just loved it, I will have to get the other products in this line for when I do my protective styles, thank you for recommending this product 💕💕💕
So I've been wondering what products I need for my hair since I'm just starting out I know you need shampoo & conditioner for sure but what other products? I've heard about leave in conditioners and deep conditioning and hair tools but what do I really NEED?
I have Hair with a slight curl to it but it’s too long so it just looks Straight with Kinks in it LOL I just brush it out never get braids I don’t know why am watching this video but it’s cool
I just might get braids! I'm gonna miss the curls but I need to protect my curls for this summer but since I'm gonna get a DevaCut and the transformation service done soon I can't 😫🍍🍍🍍🍍💕💕
Bella Rose I hear you girl. I just got a Deva cut and she took so much length that I decided to get the box braids. At least it's freshly cut and I'll let it grow while I have some length. I wish I waited until my hair was longer for a Deva cut because when they say cut they really mean cut and I don't think I will be able to appreciate what they did until 4 years in the future
A Williams that's not good! Was the stylist who did it certified? You was a level 3 certified DevaCurl stylist! And a DevaCut is where they DO NOT take the length they on reshape your curls! Maybe they didn't understand what a DevaCut really is😱 I hope that you have good luck with your hair and make sure that it is a level 3 certified DevaCurl stylist! 😘💕
Yes I believe she is certified. I think she just got carried away talking and kept on snipping away at my hair not realizing. She cut while it was dry but she continued to keep on cutting after she washed it and she just kept on cutting until left. I don’t want to put down her business because I really liked our conversation and she did come highly recommended by familiar RUclips personality but I didn’t learn much about my hair and I lost a lot of hair. In most situations, I would just cry but I was able to go out and get braids and I love them. I enjoy watching videos about different hair types getting braids so that I can get better ideas of what I will need to expect. I found an incredible stylist in LA experience with all types of hair. If you are in LA, look up Lucy!
A Williams if I ever go to LA I defiantly will since I live in Wisconsin but she was not supposed to cut your hair while it was wet that's a big NO! I doubt she went to take a test to see if she is fully certified but maybe she learned more now and is better at DevaCut's I wish you luck with your hair!😘💚💚
Bella Rose thank you so much! Yeah I hope she will sort that out. I think she did a lot of things that are not on script because she was being very casual.
OMGGG good luck taking it down because when i had box braids i lost A LOT of hair. It was crazyy; i'm never going to do box braids again due to that reason. #GoodWithMyCurls
Unless you had broken hairs, what you saw was shed hair trapped in braids. You shed over 100hairs/day. Which means for every week, you will lose 700+ hairs. If you keep your braids in for a month that's over 3,000 strands of hair shed!
You should call the braid girls "braid babes"
LOVE THAT!!!
I was thinking Braid Brigade
I’m glad you let people know you can wash braids. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen women walking around with braids that they have had for like a month and a half and haven’t washed once....so nasty 🤢.

Gosh...
YES! Walking around with funky hair 😷🤢
Try diluting your favorite shampoo with water in a spray bottle, spray it directly on your scalp, scrub, then rinse. That way you won’t use too much product. Also, it sounds like washing every week is too much for you. Maybe try every two weeks and see how that works. ים ליפשיץ
That is why their hair and scalp is gross when they take them out.
ם ליפשיץ' Every week? Girl I could never lol. Two weeks is good for me personally.
Who else sat through this entire video and doesn't have braids, GUILTY!
Nicole Diaz I did, but I did put in crochet braids after watching this, I live in the UK 🇬🇧 I got my cousin to bring me over a bottle of the no rinse cleanser and it worked really well, I will have to get my cousin to send me some more of the products ❤️❤️
Getting mine tomorrow
You’re such a hard worker Bianca! I respect that 💯
Right on time with this video sis! My Senegalese twist are a week in and are becoming unbearable.
"Oh I'll take five"😂🤣
This comment reminded me of Take 5 by lik skies
Sis before you install your hair, soak the hair in acv b4 the install and your head won't itch. The itching is a alergic reaction to the alkaline on the synthetic hair.
Xochitl BK apple cider vinegar
V Chase so, I bought the "antimicrobial" kind of kanekalon* hair. It is supposed to reduce the reaction, but I don't feel like it is working. Still itches like crazy. Only leave in conditioner relieved the itch.
Elizabeth Cook u still need to soak it in acv because it still has alkaline on it
Thank you 😊 for sharing. My scale was going cray when I first got my twist put in
@@ann35211ableThen the itching could be from dry scalp issues, which is pretty normal in protective styles because the scalp is always exposed and not covered up like when you have your natural hair out. FYI found some of these products at Marshalls!!! Loving my braids even more now. 😍😍😋
Soo i know this has nothing to do about braid but your new skin care routine is poppin :). Great video ❤️❤️❤️
Great video! Have a blessed night everyone 😇
I LOVE these braids on you! And it's so cool that we have similar braids right now :)
Ok so clearly i need to go buy these ASAP so that when i get braids again I’ll have products to use. THANK YOU!!
This gives me memories and not good ones, getting braids nd straight after ur head feels like its both really tickly and itchy at the same at 😭😩
Peppa mint oil helps my scalp when I wear box braids it helps to stop the itching😊😖
I really can't wait for the unbraiding video. I miss your curls 🙈. And I have to tell how beautiful your lipstick in this video is 😍. What is it????

Hi Bianca, Could you pretty pretty please!!!!!! Even though i dont have braids these videos are just amusing to watch
Annas Alhayek yea same. And I'll prob never get braids. lol😂
Try dove soap sensitive skin‼️ it clears my skin everytime I break out. Then add the blue bottle of Aveeno (the dark blue bottle) it says skin relief. I guarantee it will work

Let's see some styles with your braids Bianca!
Hi Bianca I just love your videos where did you get the shower cap from ? Your braids are cute
I love the braids 👍😍😍😍😍
You can not find that oil/serum in stock anywhere not even on their website. That's how good it is. Ugh i need something for the itching
Ehemm girl! Condition your hair! Your hair is woven into the synthetic hair not covering your hair. You dont have to use your high end conditioner but use something. Trust and believe your hair will be dry and mad at you if you dont

Hi Bianca 🤗 Hope you are great, Can you do a review of the Okay charcoal shampoo and conditioner brand? To see if it's good on curly hair😍😊
Don't neglect the real hair woven into the braids ! The scalp is important but your real hair is still there !
Yes. I spray with oil sheen to make sure my hair is getting something.....
Thank you always. I love the braids ❤️
So you're not conditioning your hair while in braids????
I usually add oil with water to spray on my hair to keep my natural curly hair healthy. I keep my box braids in for 8wks. Great video!! Will try these new products. Next wk I'm getting braids again.💝
I really don’t understand the foam wash w/o rinsing. Where does the dirt go? I don’t get it. Great video tho!!!
Marie Charles right unless it makes it light weight and flys off with the wind
I’m thinking it’s the same process as dry shampoo. There’s probably a certain chemical in it that dissolves the dirt away. That’s why when you use dry shampoo you’re not supposed to continuously spray in one spot or you’ll have a chemical burn on your scalp.
You’re suppose to use a microfiber towel or old T-shirt to absorb it.
I used a tresseme one years ago and the instructions says to gently blot your scalp with a towel after rubbing it in
😂😂I'm here for this #snapfam #twitterfam #instafam #notificationsquad

I miss your curls😫
Anselma Pelissier yea same. But I also think she looks good with braids. I enjoy all her vids but her curls were BOMB
When I get my box braids, imma try this line or are least 3.
I knew it existed I have been using the same things also ☺️
I know this is unrelated to this video but could you please do a video on dippity do girls with curls shampoo & conditioner?

How do you keep your curls from poppin out 😱 Not just frizz, like the ends of your hair poppjn out.
I got mine done last year and my curls were Poppin out and my scalp felt like it was DYING.
Please do a review on aunt jackie's
I use shampoo and blue magic that is it. I have locs. I might use my daughter's oil and conditioner once a month.

I have Hair with a slight curl to it but it’s too long so it just looks Straight with Kinks in it LOL I just brush it out never get braids I don’t know why am watching this video but it’s cool
would the odor neutralizing mist work on normal hair and not just braids and protective styles?

How long do you keep the braids in ?
i love your nails
Bom dia trança miúda #snapfam
Enjoy your trip in Portugal. Love the video
