The atmosphere is great, but with the money that is currently being asked for, I'd rather stay at home. I'm not interested in all the stuff around it anyway. I want to see the cars drive and that's it.
I've only been to one race and tbh shelling out that much money for one lap at a time isn't my idea of value. The vibe is fantastic but watching on tv is exciting enough for me
Surprised at Singapore being as low as it is but I do really like how walkable it is to get to the track which was one of the main deciding factors on why I'll be going next year!
Kym, a question: the ranking is from a photographer's POV. However cameras are not allowed, right? Unless, of course, you're attending as an official photographer.
Of course they do. You just end up further away and can't get into the more restricted areas when the track is live. I got some great shots in Monaco in the 'cheap seats' up on the rock.
I've long wished to see a stream of F1 cars snaking down the mount. Now that Latifi and Sargent aren't on the grid we might even get a few laps before a red flag 😂
WOW....and MAGICAL......only words I can say. It is the experience, the history, the EVERYTHING of this racing MAGIC. And, thank goodness I can watch f rom my comfy couch, and only IMAGINE being there......THANK YOU Kym for a glimpse of the glamorous life!!!
Imola was amazing. If you get accommodation in the centre, it totally cancels out the hassle of traveling to the circuit and back. Food is great, drink is great etc
As a Belgian i gotta vote for Spa for any purpose related to racing! lol I did also visit nurburging gp track and some parts of nordschleife for viewing, sadly neither are part of modern f1
i've only been to Mexico city gp and malaysian GP when it was still on. malaysia was great for watching the race and extremely cheap tickets. mexico city is a great atmosphere and very colorful. but damn expensive. thankfully i got invited and i don't need to pay for hotels there as my wife and i have lots of friends and family in mexico city area. hoping to snag a couple of tickets for this years race. even if it is just for one of the sessions.
melbourne will soon have a train connection for the F1, which will help reduce the madness that is trying to get a tram after the race. itll be ready in 2025, not sure if itll be before March for the race though.
My top 10: 1. Spa 2. Zandvoort 3. Sao Paulo 4. Spielberg 5. Monza 6. Suzuka 7. Montreal 8. Silverstone 9. Melbourne 10. Austin My list contains almost only the older routes. But that has nothing to do with nostalgia. This is my favorite track in all the F1 games so far. Unfortunately, the tracks are no longer built like they used to be. When the Zandvoort circuit returned to the calendar a few years ago, I was immediately impressed by the layout. Tilke's tracks have rarely achieved that. Kuala Lumpur and Turkey were quite good, but unfortunately they are no longer there.
had to be Monaco . . in NASCAR it is Daytona, period. It all started there; literally on the sandy beaches of Daytona in late '40's and all'50's. A family (The France) formed NASCAR. In INDY ??? duh, Indy 500. Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Roger Penske. Still gets 500,000+ fans. We are lucky if anyone can name any other Indy Car race recently
Japan as #2? That’s nuts - extremely remote circuit, poor connection to the rest of Japan by rail or car, the very worst Paddock Club for F&B and no 5 star accommodation anywhere near the circuit. Been twice (I live in Japan) and never going back. Japan could do so much better!
Nice video. I think it could have been improved by telling what objective measures you used to arrive at your order. I heard atmosphere, accommodation, and value several times but not a clear list.
How does someone get a pass and become a photographer in f1 just my son wants to be a photographer in f1 a little bit of knowledge would be helpful if you could reply please
@@hejsej yeah that makes sense. I love Kym but I don’t love that he is on board with this current F1 emphasis on celebrities, luxury items, etc. F1 is a sport not a “lifestyle”

Kym The Word of our creator warns us. Luke 18:24 And Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! Luke 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
It's a photographer's ranking of tracks for the photographer, not the racing
I'll stick to watching formula one from my comfy couch.
The atmosphere is great, but with the money that is currently being asked for, I'd rather stay at home. I'm not interested in all the stuff around it anyway. I want to see the cars drive and that's it.
And most races take place during the hot summer, right in the middle of the day when the ground itself might start burning.
I've only been to one race and tbh shelling out that much money for one lap at a time isn't my idea of value. The vibe is fantastic but watching on tv is exciting enough for me
Better view of the race m8
Whoever get offended clearly DID NOT listen to what he said at thr beginning
skipped right past the "...from a photographer's perspective..." and went straight to the comment section
I like the photographer’s perspective. May we see a ranking based on food in the future?
how about a restrooms ranking?
Maybe one day!
Thanks Kym for another great video can't wait to see what's next

Proud to be your #3, Kym, glad you like the place.

Tldr it's Japan. Racing accommodation fans culture. Monaco if you are a photographer or rich af
Kim, I guess it would be difficult to do Bathurst but would enjoy your commentary for the great Australian race!
I've long wished to see a stream of F1 cars snaking down the mount. Now that Latifi and Sargent aren't on the grid we might even get a few laps before a red flag 😂
Thanks Kym! Great information as I do want to attend more Grand Prix worldwide. And I agree with you that Monaco is #!!

Jeddah is top 5 for sure. Always delivers good racing & such high speed fast corners under the lights 🌟

Thanks Kim! Very useful intel !!!
Glad it was helpful!
One of my fav Kym Illman staples.
My top 10:
1. Spa
2. Zandvoort
3. Sao Paulo
4. Spielberg
5. Monza
6. Suzuka
7. Montreal
8. Silverstone
9. Melbourne
10. Austin

Why your list so poor bro ?
glad to know you're a photographer too

I'll be going to my first F1 race at COTA this year, hopefully I'll see you.
I don't think it's the track, it's the venue itself. Jeddah is cool street track but I do agree with Shanghai lacking the spectacle.
Thanks for sharing.
You bet
Suzuka is one of the best tracks on the calendar, perhaps the best. Big favorite with the drivers, both for the track and for the fans.

1. MONZA 🇮🇹
2. San Marino 🇸🇲
3. Monaco 🇲🇨
4. Melbourne 🇦🇺
5. Spa 🇧🇪
6. British - Silverstone 🇬🇧
7. German - Hockenheimring 🇩🇪
Interesting - can you say why you think the dutch gp may not be around much longer?
why should zandvoort not be around much longer? always looks like a party there. or will they close shop once max retires?
Thanks!
Thank you very kindly Terry!

What happened at 7:46 🧐
Haha, I'm not the only one noticed that. He said wild party atmosphere..

Vegas should be 24th every single year. it is purely about money.
It does look quite unique on camera though
You are wrong and a hater. Vegas is top 5

See the FIA media accreditation page for details of That. Not sure what the criteria is these days.

Looks great in our photos though
Yes Yes Yes
Miami ahead of Monza? I can’t take this list seriously. And I’m American.
It's his opinion as a photographer and most likely not based on the racing itself.

No Korea? LOL It was embarrassing.
Some Red Bull crew members actually left the track before we did - we saw them at a rest stop on the way home!
Before we start watching if SPA is not nr 1 we’re gonna have a problem
This will be controversial :D
Umm, Naaah
The only people disagreeing are people not watching the video. This is from a photo perspective, not racing.
