  • "Life was so much better before I was #Noahide! Why has Hashem (God) abandoned me?"
    This is what many Noahides feel after leaving Christianity or other former faith or community, and embarking upon a lifestyle that does not seem to offer the same comforts and fulfillment of their former lives.
    Why is this so? Rabbi Rafi Mollot, at the 2024 Beyneynu Dinner event, offers a Tanach text-based approach to explain this phenomenon and offer encouragement to the global community of the righteous among the nations.

    Thank you Rabbi. I love the last story you told. I have heard it before and it always makes me cry. To think on the incredible power of Teshuvah to bring anyone who wants it closer to Ha Shem. I also appreciated your comment about the need for community. As you know, this is my ongoing prayer to be a part of a community where I can fully immerse myself in living a Jewish life and study and pray with others. I know this is very important for the Noahide, but it is also important for the baal teshuvah who was born Jewish, but never raised Jewish. Thanks for all you do. Todah Rabah.

      Tom, I am so glad to receive your comment and that you enjoyed this class. Remind me, what is holding you back from joining a Jewish community?

      @@RabbiRafiMollot That must be why they pay you the big bucks. You ask the right questions. I have some quick pat answers to that question, like finances and my family is here in a place where there is no Jewish community and leaving them would be hard, where would I go, etc. And all of those answers are true, but the deeper truth is - fear. I will answer you in more detail in an email, but the truth is that it is fear of not being accepted, not being "Jewish" enough to live among "real Jews," fear that I will fail to learn and to do. I was raised for most of my life as a gentile. It's as if I was raised by wolves and now I need to try and fit into "polite" society. Fear of ending up as a NPC as you talked about. The task seems daunting and overwhelming.

    Rabbi, should there be an effort made by Noachides to create tangible Noachide communities instead of merely congregating in online forums as an alternative to an actual community? The biggest issue the Noachides face is definitely isolation and a community would tremendously help them in alleviating from isolation.

    • @RabbiRafiMollot
      @RabbiRafiMollot  23 дня назад +3

      @@cinesanti7 I agree with this, but it must be done with proper Torah guidance or there is a great danger of forming a new religion or cult.

      Hi, the Noahide Academy of Israel is doing this. We had a global biblical summit just few days ago with Noahides all over the world. Then we have communities for each country. I am in the UK and we are connected via whatsapp group. Each Thursday we meet online to read the code, study or just chat so that we don't feel alone. Each community is monitored by Rabbis, in our UK community we have 3 Rabbis that check on us and teach us. This is because, as you say, the risk of creating a new religion is high if people who are not familiar to Judaism are left to their own device. I think they are doing an outstanding job.
