Tribute to Billy Joe Royal, Age 73 Born: 4/3/1942 ♥ Died 11/6/2015 ( R.I.P) Thank you for sharing this Real country music Treasurer , great memories of him ! Really enjoyed the music, God bless you. ♪Date 1/29/2019♪
Honestly I am related to him and my father got to meet him but I couldn’t. Honestly I was so surprised that he was this popular and am grateful to all of these wonderful people who care ❤️
To me, this late beautiful precious should still be here. God bless you and his family always!!! Holly in East Tennessee (forever wishing that I had discovered him sooner)
Big star right there with prominent vocal talent you seldom hear combining that "gripping cry" steeped into his gospel/country fluttering tenor style. Beautiful Dee Dee Sharp and Ketty Lester from 2:34.
I wish we could see the OTHER performances from the 1999 Rock N Roll Grafitti Show. I know you guys only post the ones that are "Country" related. So sad those old pop songs are taken from RUclips. People like me who grew up on that music and also Country music love it!
Very good song
I miss the 60s and 70s music. Please bring it back. No such music today.
Classic. Outstanding performance. Im bloody amazed at how solid his voice is. Seriously, this song is over 50 years old. Amazing.
I didn't know he was gone. RIP Billy. I loved this song, guess I still do.

😭😭😭😢😢😢
Such a good man & missed.😔. I always enjoy watching the back up singers & brass horns extras in bands that have them .😂
When I was kid we had one of Billy's records. This was my favorite song on it. I about 6 then. That was 60 yrsago.
It's amazing at how a classic like this can still describe someone's life today. Awesome Job.
B J Royal played my junior-senior prom (1972). R. I. P.
