I saw a video where the guy stated they run off of straight ether for a couple minutes until they build heat,my question is how often do they need rebuilt?,it would seem like the rings wouldnt last very long run dry ether like that....I understand the cylinder walls are jacketed and can withstand a beating but how strong can you make a ring?
They get a new set of rings at least once a year. Keep in mind they only run these engines less than one minute per pass about 25 times or less per year.
I've asked this probably a hundred times on different comment sections and never got a answer.how many passes can you get out of a motor before it needs a rebuild?,just figured wouldn't get too Many when it eats 8 cans of either everytime it warms up
Well a complete rebuild can mean different things but generally in the diesel classes 60 passes is about where things are going to start going bad. Some of the truck guys have made it over 100. Diesel super stock tractors are probably on the short end of passes. I have no idea on the alky motors. I would say quite a bit less.
The Masterson's are a top notch pulling team.
The best of the best 👍👍 they got the recipe noooooo doubt 💪💪
These boys know pro stock tractors like a butcher knows meat💪
