      @ThreeCreators as a long time Bulls fan, and a Jordan/Pipp fan, i always saw their game as similar, with Pip being a taller, version with a far less killer instinct than Jordan. Pip mirrored Jordan defensively and on the fast break. He just didn't have the dominate will to win that Jordan had, no one did.

      First we thought the Ohio Flyer was a piss poor replacement for Jordan. Then MJ comes back and we wonder what the hell are they going to do with Harper. The Krause in his brilliance (no sacrasm and in real seriousness) lets BJ Armstrong go and keeps Harper. Harper and MJ backcourt: probably the greatest defensive backcourt.....ever. The defense of the Bulls (espeically the 2nd 3 peat Bulls) was the true reason (more than Jordan's offense or the Triangle) that the Bulls were so unbeatable. They decide to run that trap and they make a 60 win Orlando Magic team that didnt even have Shaq for its first 25 games of the season into am embarrassment that couldnt even bring the ball up halfcourt like what happened when the Magic ran up an 18 point lead in game 2 and pretty much got shut down once the Bulls started to play defense.

    • @Cfresh84
      @Cfresh84 4 года назад +4

      Danny Lopez I always acknowledged Pippen but let’s be real Jordan made him who he was. To be real you give Jordan Hakeem and Barkley rockers win the ring with those 3. You give Jordan those teams in Portland they win a ring. Pippen is a second option a 2nd lead player Jordan is a number 1 and the main leader.

    • @edccs1029
      @edccs1029 4 года назад +1

      Danny Lopez Scottie definitely grew up after the migraine game. His elevation was the game changer to the running of the Bulls. MJ fans keep exaggerating about what he did for Scottie. MJ needed a #2 for him to get championships. Scottie was already confident in himself considering he wanted to be better than MJ when he got to Chicago. People still like to undervalue what Pippen was for Mike.

    • @Danny_Lopez_
      @Danny_Lopez_ 4 года назад +2

      @@Cfresh84 Jordan was a player that the NBA will never see again. Anyone he would have played with outside the Bulls would have been number two. He would have outshined anyone trying to be number one.
      Scottie Pippen accepted his role as number two. He didn't try to outshine Jordan, but compliment and assist Jordan. Pippen was respected by his team as a leader when Jordan was too hard on them. Pippen could have been a number one lead player on any other team as he was on the Bulls when Jordan left.
      Pippen's stats could have been better provided he was the lead player on any other team, but he chose to be Jordan's teammate. It's not fair to judge any player by their stats with Jordan on the team.
      I believe Pippen was much better than what was displayed with the bulls, but he never had to be 100% with Jordan being who he was.

    • @wallacepemberton932
      @wallacepemberton932 2 года назад

      @@Danny_Lopez_ yep, after Jordan left Pippen led them….to the 2nd round. Btw, his stats didn’t improve much either, look at his 93 stats and compare to his 91 stats. You do know the 2nd year Jordan was out it didn’t look like he was going to lead them to the playoffs at all if Jordan didn’t return. Craig Smith already addressed his other opportunities to be a leader with other super stars and stacked teams…..he failed to give your assumptions any validity. Truth is, if you watched his evolution. Pippen wouldn’t have been the great role player he became if he wasn’t with Jordan, those were the years he put up his best scoring, scoring %’s, rebounds and assist stats.

    I remember when I used to watch the Bulls play. I would watch Scotty move like smooth water flowing down a river. He was just a graceful mutha'fucka. Like a Gazelle and shit. Long arms shooting way out or taking it over three or four guys for a monstrous dunk! He was beauty in motion. He would flow thru court traffic while everybody just watched him move..hypnotized by his gracefulness and shit...immobilized dare I say!
    But Michael Jordan. Staying in the back court, analyzing everything going on. 2 steps ahead of everyone. Players don't realize, Michael didn't beat you. He made you beat yourself. Michael would make players move the way HE wanted them to move, so HE could move to the places he wanted to go,....and that was the difference between the two. Scotty was graceful like the wind, and Michael was like a force of nature that made you bend to his will. (Damn, I just read that back, that was some damn good writing!') Gave myself chills!lol

      Jordan was an assassin, LeBron isn't. Mentally Jordan is light years ahead of LeBron. LeBron has meltdowns, Jordan made his opponents meltdown at the sight of him on the court! Also, when you're THAT GUY, you want the ball in your hands in the closing seconds to win the game. Lebron defers just like C Webb on the Sacramento Kings. And let's be honest, Jordan took home town discounts so the Bulls could pay Pippen, Harper, Rodman, etc and continue to win rings!!!!

    Y'all better UNDERSTAND:The"Bad Boys"represented every BLOCK,from the southwest to the north-east side OF the City of Detroit!!! Michael Jordan aint welcome to walk my"stomping grounds"; the area of Tireman Avenue@Wyoming;he would get"touched",because the homies over here RECOGNIZE that he never beat a Pistons team while Rick Mahorn was ON the floor,and he ONLY overcame Detroit AFTER David Stern outlawed hand checks and zone defenses(against Jordans career 35% from the field shooting)while INVENTING a"BLOCKING"foul to prevent Jordan from fouling-out with his consistent CHARGING!!! Jordans PUNK(arse)mentioned,in the post-game interview of the 7th game of the 1990 Easter Conference Finals that he just might have to think about RETIRING after the Eastern Conference Finals Game-7 BLOWOUT,by Detroit,IF"something"wasn't"done"about Detroit and its rough style-of-play,so Stern waited about a WEEK,then MODIFIED all the games defensive rules to Jordans BENEFIT!!! Jordan NEVER beat the fully-entact 89-90 back-to-back Pistons squad!! Which is WHY he refused to play on the Dream Team if Isaiah was ON it!!! If he knew he'd beat the back-to-back squad fairly,withOUT the Leagues collusion,he wouldn't've STILL been bitter at Isaiah to the point he kept him from winning an Olympic gold medal!!! Simple people:Jordan beating Detroit was GOOD for the League FINANCIALLY!! Nike also PAID big dollars for the N.B.A to NSURE that Jordan would win titles,so its pitchman would help Nike overcome the STRANGLE-HOLD Adidas held on the inner-city sneaker market through 1978,clear through the entire 80s!!! I stepped up in Detroit Chadsey High one day in '87 with some Nikes on and got CLOWNED on by everybody!!! The"Most Boys"straight"FOOLED"on me behind that move!! Nike was NOT"cool"in Coleman Young era Detroit!! Look;NO rules were changed for LeBron to obtain a championship ring!!

    You also got to realize that Ron Harper in his early years with Cleveland was going at Jordan's neck. I would even go as far as to say that with Ron Harper, the Cavaliers could have been what the Bulls were to the NBA. Ron Harper was a legitimate threat to Jordan legacy at that time. Is that the real reason Ron Harper was traded away from the Cavaliers early in his career? Food for thought.
