- Flemish Twist String making is easier than you think. With a simple string jig and a few store bought materials you can make as many strings as you need for your recurve or other traditional bows.

This is the most understandable video of how to tye a bow string I have seen, THANKS--SFC retired Duke
Thank you. I really appreciate the comment. Have a great day. Best regards
Just watched both this and your serving video and think you did a great job on both; thanks for making them. Hope you have a great day.
Thank you my friend. I appreciate the comment and your time. I hope you have a great evening. Best regards
Hey Scott. Great video. I know its older, but was a lot of help!. I've done 3 or 4 B55 for older bows and a 2 D97 for newer bows. Big difference in the material stretch. Thanks Brother and God bless you. Kurt
Excellent video. Clear, easy to follow and no irritating background music (Really ... thanks a lot for that). I made a string rig quite similar to yours but ended up with a string that was a full 14 inches too short. I marked the string length pegs just like yours. What did I miss? (It's not really a problem, I can just put the actual numbers next to the pegs, but I was quite surprised with the result). Oh ... and still no link to plans to build the jig :D But there are so many videos on YT, it was quite easy to find instructions with measurements
Great video Scott, very informative, I learned a lot and hopefully I can now make my own Flemish string, many thanks. I would love the PDF for the jig.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment, and I'm glad it helped you. I will get the link and figure out how to get it to you. Have a great day my friend.
Looks fiddly. Working with gear you made yourself is more satisfying. Cool desktop BTW :)
It is very satisfying being able to make my own strings with the string maker I built. I think I need to add rubber feet to keep it from sliding around as much. Thanks for watching.
Chilly Christmas. Talked cars with John on the phone.
Hello! Thanks for the video. Did you ever happen to find the plans for your jig?
Oh man, good catch. I totally forgot to link the drawing. I will get the link up in the video description. Thanks for the call out. I appreciate your time. Have a great evening. Best regards.
@@ScottWinters no problem at all!! I'm looking for a design to use to make a gift, and yours looks really well done. Thanks again!
"What's up everybody?"
You really don't care what's up with any of us, do you? But if you must know.. the missus is sick, I have wood to stack, the lawn needs mowing, I have to walk the dog, I should clip the hedge, we need potatoes so I have to go dig some up, the postman is late, I need more money, it's raining and I'm out of beer.
How you doin'?
On the contrary, i think of this as a community. Regardless of what you comment you make, I always hope the best for those that give up their time to invest in my content. That's a long to do list my friend! I hope the missus gets better soon.
As for me and mine, we've gone through one week with 3 sick family members, now it's my turn to join them. Stay safe my friend and have a great day. Best regards
You get dislike, because you didn't link the plan for the jig😂😂😂.
