    The video is of Corky, the last surviving Northern Resident in captivity. She was captured in 1969 in British Columbia. She is member of the A5 pod, A23 matriline.

      @@protodominichusplay Lolita is from the Southern Resident orca community. Corky is the oldest orca in captivity, Lolita is the second oldest.

    For some STUPID reason, I believed that SeaWorld was going to STOP keeping Orcas in captivity--which is incredibly inhumane. Orcas belong in the ocean with their families.

      They are actually with their families, only three of all the orcas at SeaWorld are wild.

    I keep waiting for this park to be permanently closed! How tragic! This poor animal spent is entire life in captivity, swimming in tiny circles and being attacked by other orcas. Who knows what trainers get away with. Dear lord, please end this suffering 😢 🙏

      I believe he spent his life bonding with his pod mates and trainers, participating in studies and other activities. He had a pretty great life. Also, most of you anti caps care nothing about the orcas until they have died, then you use their death to tell people why they shouldn't be in captivity.

      I think Seaworld could survive as just an ocean themed amusement park. No captive or performing animals, just have rides, gift shops, restaurants, etc..

    I live in San Diego and my family and I will never support that place. We are against animal cruelty.

      But like it's not animal cruelty- It's just like zoos, but with aquatic animals, and nobody has any problem with zoos.

Imagine having a bathroom so huge you could have eight of your friends with you and not bump into each other. Imagine having a bathtub with servants taking care of your every need, giving you snacks, feeding you meals, tossing you some toys, I'd not mind living in a bathroom if it was that great.

      Corky II, at least in the video. she was in shows today and was energetic to say the least, theres no horrific injury, nothing at all for that matter. it may have been an aggressive attack, but definitely not violent. peta over exaggerated and is * assuming * the exact same thing happened to nakai.

    I kind of feel like when circuses stopped being a thing SeaWorld should have also. Wild animals shouldn't be locked up like this for our amusement how selfish can you be

    I think at this point most pro-caps should know more than enough by now there is a serious problem if orcas keep dying so young despite the tremendous care/effort trainers and vets throw at them. They'll keep dying off in these small barren pools until the industry has no more and hopefully it'll stay that way. RIP Nakai, you're free at last and hope you're reincarnated back at sea or elsewhere out there🕊️🐬🌌.

    I was hoping they freed these animals or at least put them in in an enclosure in the sea and replaced them with robot dolphins and orcas but alas, just my wishful thinking.
