- On Friday morning (10/21/11) I woke up real early and got to Walpole Station at 6:30am to get a decent parking spot. About five hours later the CSX OCS went through. You will notice that i wasn't the only one taking photos! I chased the CSX OCS from Walpole, to Foxboro. Enjoy the video, and thanks for watching!
Yes i believe CSX owns two F40s, and "OCS" stands for "Office Car Special". This train was also carrying Robert Kraft the owner of the Patriots. Kraft and CSX made a deal to allow MBTA service to to Gillette stadium between several morning and afternoon freight trains.
Wow!! I know this video is old, but this is sick!! I had no idea CSX had something like this... that F40PH is really cool!
Awesome video, Robert Kraft was on the train!
It was pretty awesome to see this come by on such a great day! Luckily an engineer gave me a heads up a few days earlier so I could catch it!
Very nice!
I have one word to say... RARE!!!!!!!!
SWEET!
@Wilky575, all of the bigger RR's have passenger cars, better known as Business Trains. They use them for viewing their rails and holding business meetings. Apparently Mr Kraft has some affairs to discuss with the CSX people or is just renting this car to carry him for a game somewhere. John Madden had his own car, you'd be surprised at how many wealthy people travel by rail in their private cars. They pay for a ride along and per track mile plus station storage.Alabama is the name of that car
@Wilky575 See my other comment...Nice way to travel...We had many a private car attached to my trains years ago and they are so nice inside...
CSX: We put EOTs on passenger trains.
I didn't know CSX owned F40's! Do they use them for freight service?
Also, what exactly is an OCS? And what is the purpose if this train?
Last time I checked we live in MA but thecae said Alabama is that normal? Also who knew a freight company owns passenger locos ( mbta) anyone
Awesome catch! How did you know that he was coming thru?
