I loved this video. As well, for YEARS, I kind of got tired of fuzzes - and I've had a bunch. But most just get lost in the mix, unless you know how to tweak or add on to them. Nowadays, after 45 years of playing, I tend to enjoy more so that edge of breakup sound. And some pedals, long ago and years before I knew better, I tossed them as I didn't realize they could be repaired - got rid of a '70s Big Muff for that reason. I still have an ancient '70s SuperFuzz that I kept, but the rest of my "dirty" effects include mostly distortion units that can be dialed back to taste. And after so many hours of tweaking and twiddling boxes and effects, I wish I'd put more of that time in to learning and composing. Because once you get that "tone quest" thing going, it can absolutely obsess you!
This video is so nice. You know the feeling, when everybody have you for weirdo and the you find your tone-mates? It was all there. And the first round by Guill, that was kinda like saxophone? Cmon, so sweet
I always wanted a fuzz on my rig. Since 2 years, using the reissue of big muff pi russian, located after my vintage overdrive. too chewy alone, but fine after the OD.
In my experience: Fuzz NEVER works with Humbuckers! Single coils and / or P90's are a must-have when it comes to a transient fuzz sound! With humbuckers all turns to mud instantly.
I use a set of Alnico 5 SD pickups in a Schecter with an always on Fuzz-face and big muff for leads. It's massive; not sure what you are talking about. You can dial up anything. Edit: I play live music in a funk/rock band and have a strat/firebird/schecter and the humbuckers work best for me. They just seem to understand most of the content I'm after.

My Behringer Super Fuzz just sounds awful. I can't get anything out it that sounds like what you guys have. It sounds just like white noise. Even when turned low. I might look for a better fuzz, but don't have money for the fuzzface or bigmuff. Thank you for this video. Greetings.
Fuzz pedal? I just use a bad patch cable and an almost dead battery in my Keeley Modded MT-2! I’m gonna stop maintaining my gear and see what cool stuff I come up with! 🤔
