Those crapping all over Wayne demonstrate their ignorance. John Wayne was a man of his time. His views reflect the ideas of a person of the generation which fought in World War 2, and to judge them by the WOKE standards of modern liberals just shows their blindness to history. It is the same ignorance which impels them to screech about Confederate heroes, demonstrating an inflexible inability to judge people by the standards and mores of their time and the society in which they lived. These people preach about "tolerance" but fail to practice it, showing their small minded hypocrisy.
You might want to remember John Wayne was not racist but man of his time. Once on a movie set John Wayne saw a Native American extra crying because she was going to miss a family wedding, John Wayne had her flown on his own aircraft so she could make the wedding. So much for being racist. Maybe we shouldn't cherry pick peoples lives for personal gain.
Personally, I always separate an actor's professional and personal lives...if I enjoy their movies or television shows, that's good enough for me. This is still, even now, the US of A and we all have a right to our ideas and opinions no matter what...deal with it.
Many of these woke folks have been spreading hate of John Wayne due to his conservative politics, and masculinity bravado. I grew up in the 50-70s and saw Wayne in many movies, and knew how much my dad liked him. I still do. What kind of man do these people like?; "Harry Styles?" Justin Bieber? And so on...
You have to put Wayne in his times. We cannot put people in our times and judge them.

I grew up watching his movies. He was a good man, he had his faults, like we all do. He was not racist he lived in a different time.

The war is on both masculinity and femininity as they try to eliminate genders by making us chemical nothings.
"Woke" folks are AWAKE folks - which is a
