Yes, love sitting in the bush listening to the birds. If you return regularly to one spot they will get curious and check you out. The whip bird is one of my favourites, hard to see because they love hiding in the underbrush and move quickly, pretty though if you catch one on film. One camping trip my son (around 7 or 8) got a leech on his foot and there was blood everywhere when we took his shoe and sock off. Freaking shock to us both but no harm done. Admire your instincts for being in nature and making videos for us all.
G'day! I used to love the lyrebirds in the Royal National Park south of Sydney but around my former home in Sydney we has a pair of satin bowerbirds and they were just stunning...the black male and the green female each with purple eyes! Cheers!female
Lyrebirds and bowerbirds were at the very top of our list for birds to see in Australia and we’re so glad we saw both. How lucky to see them all the time!
For Leaches l use a cigarette lighter...birds are amazing you hear them all communicating to each other and their songs...it is peaceful in the Australian bush no cars no people no pollution no problem. Just always looking for Joe blakes( snakes )you won't hear them move that was a skink l would say. Have a great day mate.😊
Just another day in paradise... (well except for the odd leach!). Thanks Macy, loved the audio, for people into birds Oz must be like paradise. Happy New Year!! to you both and may 24 be twice as good as 23 for you.
We have Lorikeets, Rosellas, Magpies, Crested Pedgeons, Butcher Birds and Native Minors visit our garden. We like them all.Infact, we encourage them.We have a feeder outside our bedroom window and enjoy being entertained by our morning guests.
