this guy really puts a lot of thought into his filmmaking; I don't agree much with how he rationalized the misogyny in the film, and that's one thing he could consider changing in his future films. but he's atleast honest. he's trying to explain to us and take us through it so we can understand his thought process. he's not sugarcoating anything, and that's very rare and shows how passionate he really is.

Prema seems determined to smoke out every mystery, every irrationality, every dark nook and cranny of every character. People are mysterious and irrational in real life, why can't they be so in art and cinema? Why did Ranbir's character demand that Gitanjali should not remarry after his death? Arrey, it is clearly a romantic line, as Sandeep points out. Also, it does not mean Gitanjali will not remarry. The point is to show how the two feel at that juncture in their lives.
Animal was bloody brilliant. I was also spewing venom on the film and as a result I missed it on the big screen and had to watch in on OTT. The "shoe" scene has been completely taken out of context by Javed Akhtar. In fact there are scenes where the protagonist is sitting at the feet of his sisters and later wife with love and respect among 100s of scenes where the protagonist is vulnerable/unsure/getting slapped by his elders and never grudges it. So there is something very fishy about this negative propaganda. I more than suspect that there is something else that Javed chacha didn't like about this film and this "shoe licking" distraction is a decoy for that. 😂 As a woman, I'm totally chill with what you have done in Animal. It's a work of masterful subversion and this man is a genius!

Cheating scene wasn't silly, it was completely necessary. Title lo ne cheppindu kada "Animal" ani. With this scene the protagonist lives up to it. I think Rannvijay was attracted to Zoya, so while there may have been other ways to get the information out of her, this is the strategy he chose. I find this much more interesting than the alternatives.
No it diluted the impact in 2nd half because the audience lost sympathy and emotional connection with RAnvijay …..it also took 15 min time away from Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor tracks which could have had more impact. Once he betrays his wife, esp after lecturing his bros in first half, this track was unconvincing and weak writing.

Some people see only the adult type of content in Vangas Film But actually his films, screenplay and sound mixing was master piece..... And in the Arjun Reddy movie the way he uses J cuts ; L cuts and those bus passing back of him when he heard his Granpa lost and using only train horn sound at football match.. Those are Top konch.... The way of explaining emotions with the sound are was amazing.... Kudos to Sandeep Reddy vanga...

Cheating scene wasn't silly, it was completely necessary. Title lo ne cheppindu kada "Animal" ani. With this scene the protagonist lives up to it. I think Rannvijay was attracted to Zoya, so while there may have been other ways to get the information out of her, this is the strategy he chose.
I find this much more interesting than the alternatives.
No it diluted the impact in 2nd half because the audience lost sympathy and emotional connection with RAnvijay …..it also took 15 min time away from Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor tracks which could have had more impact. Once he betrays his wife, esp after lecturing his bros in first half, this track was unconvincing and weak writing.

And in the Arjun Reddy movie the way he uses J cuts ; L cuts and those bus passing back of him when he heard his Granpa lost and using only train horn sound at football match.. Those are Top konch....
