M9 News Journalist Nishant spoke to Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga ahead of the release of his Animal on December 1st.
We asked him about the box office potential of Animal and if Ranbir Kapoor is going to get his first 1000 Crore film.
When asked about increasing expectations, Sandeep said, "I did not expect this much response for songs. Even they added to the hype. But I am not worried about increasing expectations as I have enough content to match them".
He admitted that Ranbir Kapoor resembled Sanju in the opening sequence of the trailer. "We have realized it then itself but thought it would not be a problem," he said.
When asked about getting inspired for the war gun from Prashant Neel's KGF. "I dont think so I got inspired. I do not get inspired watching other films. In fact, I can never make a film like Prashant Neel. You will say that once you watch the film," he told.
He refuted the rumors that the movie will have different runtimes for the India version and the US version. "I may add the edited footage in the OTT version," he said. The director went on to say that Anil Thadani, in fact, told him he could have six shows a day if he trims the film.
"I was content with four shows as I thought editing the film would not do justice to the story," he added.
"I do not think length matters. I think it is okay even to make film up to 3 hours 45 minutes," Sandeep Reddy said.
The director also revealed some interesting things about his proposed project with Mahesh Babu and his next film, Prabhas's Spirit.
