Please Daniel, increase the rate of these speedrun uploads to at least one more video per week! I know you think you'll tire us out or something and lose some enthusiasm by over doing it, but I think you're highly underestimating the quality and entertainment value here. I'd even wager you'd get more views if you do so! Please, I need more and I need you to reach 1700 asap
I feel like this speedrun is going to my my favourite yet, off to a great start and whilst I've also loved the others I think this is the one that grabs my attention most/makes me look at things really differently, the instincts concept is really paying off, plus just good chilled out vibes to it
it's funny because he references a 1919 chess game as "the winter capablanca situation" as if it's a well known piece of common knowledge@@giant05 (i understand in chess circles it may be a well known game, but amongst the public and even any chess players below advanced level it will be unknown)
Game 2 is a such a gift for me since I've been playing against Qxd4 all the time in low elo. The fact that Danya stablised on low elo can help low elo player like me so much. Great speedrun games as always!
That Knight in game 3 was a naughty spectator until he eased into MVP. I'm sure he (Horsey) thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks, Danya, for the very helpful instruction and cast.
9:53 I learned this from a very nice Bobby Fischer game. I was like "why did he take the bishop" but it's because the opponent can just replace his rook with the other rook whereas there is no replacing that bishop as a defending piece
10:43 I can accept that in theory but I manage to lose positions up a piece all the time. so in that case wouldn't the extra material advantage provide a bit more room for error? I understand ideally I wouldn't make any egregious errors up a piece but I do.
Actually the whole purpose of him capturing the bishop aligns with what you’re saying, he’s giving himself more room for error by getting rid of white’s most dangerous piece. You’d be way more likely to make a losing blunder with that strong bishop on the board than with the inactive rook.
@@johnmp1470 I accept that you're correct but that bishop doesn't even look strong to me. plus how is not widening the advantage giving him more room for error. if you are up a piece and blunder it (which I get he isn't going to do) then it goes from +3 to 0. But if you are up a piece and exchange and lose the piece then you still have the advantage of being up an exchange.
@@thebcwonder4850 be that as it may for most people I can and will blunder in all possible moments so more/less likely doesn't really apply lol. I'm talking -9 advantage to forced loss in 4 in one move.
@MantasXVIII My point is even being up a piece there is a better than not chance I lose that advantage or throw the whole game. If I have the chance to widen that advantage from +3 to +5 and I end up blundering my extra piece I still have an advantage rather than going from +3 to 0. I accept that you're correct but it just doesn't make logical sense to me.
hey can u please make a specific playlist of certain opening in which u explain all theory and lines like a channel named hanging pawns have all the theory of opening but i have watched your speedrun and u explain concepts very interestingly and easily so if u can do it it will be of great help
Funnily enough after Qf3 Qg5! gives black a better position, attacking the knight and stopping castling. Saw it as a spectator then double checked with engine.
Hi danya, I'm not sure if you'll see the comment, but is it possible to possibly play a different, less theoretical sicilian than the Najdorf? The Najdorf is just such a theoretical sicilian, I remember in one of your videos you said you don't recommend it to Lower level players as well BTW I cannot express how much I love your content, I really hope it never stops, I've climbed ALOT of rating points just because of you, I just reached 1700 rapid the other day, and I know I could not have done it without you❤❤❤
Hello Daniel, I love the speedrun! Recently binged all of the old ones as well. I wonder if you considered mixing up your opening repertoire a bit? Playing some 1.b3 Larsen yourself, or more Pirc instead of Accelerated dragon? At least a bit less c3 Sicilian, haha! Some variety could be fun.
In a tournament in Greece Ehlvest was after women and was drinking heavily. He was getting so drunk that in the morning the effect was not gone! One of those nights he had an orgy with another GM and 2 (women) IMs from Greece. Next day he lost by some stupid tactical. I remember thinking how people would wonder what happened when they read the game at the Informator (no internet back then, games where being printed). I bet that Ehlvest had a similar nightly adventure before the match @16:40
me watching this as a nimzowitsch-larsen player nervously sweating for him to roast the opening meanwhile I am a 1800 rapid player who's played the opening 100s of times so I know it's fine just not really fighting for a big advantage.
I'd really like to see Danya play higher rated opponents. 800 is too low a starting point for a speed run. These videos have very limited entertainment and instructive value when the player simply gives away multiple pieces in a long format game.
@@dominater5 I can appreciate when Djokovic and Federer play eachother in tennis despite their games being far, far beyond my level. I'm only an 1800 rated player - so no big deal at all - but I can't bear watching sub-1500 players doing random moves with zero calculation in a long format game with 8 minutes on the clock.
@@GLOKD well I'm 1300 and I find some of it pretty helpful. I'm not sure how you can be annoyed by how bad the players are considering a 2000+ player would think the same thing about you

No it is not boring Daniel! U put the word to the machine. What great lessons!
Superb teaching as always by the very best
Thanks!
Wow Danya is crazy with the move predictions this episode 😂 prophet for sure
Danya describing mate threats against him: "I do not fear the Dark Side as you do"
Best chess youtuber by far. explains stuff so well. thanks

Wow 3 games! thank you for these speedrun videos your a legend
love the content man, thanks a lot:) entertaining and educational
Did I finish reading the title before liking this video. Hell no, when Daniel uploads a video I already know it will be good

40:40 "we could have taken the night and gotten a winter capablanca situation" I lost it, chess players man hahahaha.
Can you please explain...Didn't get the reference

If you learn the alapin the Sicilian is so much less scary!
Dany is working overtime, great work at the candidates
+1 comment cause Danya is the best chess teacher on RUclips/twitch/etc.

Hippo is such a funny opening, looks very solid and great for defensive players and yet they very often end up destroyed by simple pawn pushes.
Next speed-run do 1.d4 openings please! You da man

Yea there is
Epic content, though whenever i play the gleck system, black plays Bb4 d5 and i get crushed.
In such positions does it matter if you open with e5 or d5?
If you play d5 then white can play Nf3 or Bb2 and stop e5
