    10:43 I can accept that in theory but I manage to lose positions up a piece all the time. so in that case wouldn't the extra material advantage provide a bit more room for error? I understand ideally I wouldn't make any egregious errors up a piece but I do.

    • @johnmp1470
      @johnmp1470 10 месяцев назад

      Actually the whole purpose of him capturing the bishop aligns with what you’re saying, he’s giving himself more room for error by getting rid of white’s most dangerous piece. You’d be way more likely to make a losing blunder with that strong bishop on the board than with the inactive rook.

    • @thebcwonder4850
      @thebcwonder4850 10 месяцев назад

      If you trade off your opponent’s most active pieces, you’re much less likely to fall into tactics where you lose your material advantage

    • @imcvak3461
      @imcvak3461 10 месяцев назад

      @@johnmp1470 I accept that you're correct but that bishop doesn't even look strong to me. plus how is not widening the advantage giving him more room for error. if you are up a piece and blunder it (which I get he isn't going to do) then it goes from +3 to 0. But if you are up a piece and exchange and lose the piece then you still have the advantage of being up an exchange.

    • @imcvak3461
      @imcvak3461 10 месяцев назад

      @@thebcwonder4850 be that as it may for most people I can and will blunder in all possible moments so more/less likely doesn't really apply lol. I'm talking -9 advantage to forced loss in 4 in one move.

    • @imcvak3461
      @imcvak3461 10 месяцев назад

      @MantasXVIII My point is even being up a piece there is a better than not chance I lose that advantage or throw the whole game. If I have the chance to widen that advantage from +3 to +5 and I end up blundering my extra piece I still have an advantage rather than going from +3 to 0. I accept that you're correct but it just doesn't make logical sense to me.

    Hi danya, I'm not sure if you'll see the comment, but is it possible to possibly play a different, less theoretical sicilian than the Najdorf? The Najdorf is just such a theoretical sicilian, I remember in one of your videos you said you don't recommend it to Lower level players as well
    BTW I cannot express how much I love your content, I really hope it never stops, I've climbed ALOT of rating points just because of you, I just reached 1700 rapid the other day, and I know I could not have done it without you❤❤❤

One of those nights he had an orgy with another GM and 2 (women) IMs from Greece. Next day he lost by some stupid tactical. I remember thinking how people would wonder what happened when they read the game at the Informator (no internet back then, games where being printed).
