  • Although 7 days was not enough we packed in as much of the Emerald Isle as we could. In Dublin we experienced the Jamison Distillery, Roe and Co Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, and great local restaurants and pubs. On the way from the city to the countryside we dropped in at the Irish National Stud and Gardens. We spent several days meandering the Ring of Kerry and experiencing Blarney Castle, Muckross Farms, and the Rock of Cashel. Galway and the food scene there were an unexpected highlight! Sheena was fantastic as our host with Galway Food Tours. Staying at the Cashel Palace was an incredibly luxurious indulgence. Ashford Castle and the famed Cliffs of Moher were sights that can't even be captured on film! Incredible! We can't wait to return to Ireland. Derek Allen with Brendan Vacations was simply the best!

If you get a chance to come back, go north - Donegal is outstanding, with cliffs three times higher than those at Moher and the north Antrim coast is also spectacular.

We will definitely hit the northern counties next time! I’ve heard that Belfast is fascinating as well.

Great video and a really nice visit and itinerary. Your video upload says December but I see people with short sleeves walking outside. Was your visit actually in December? Ie that weather to be expected?

Just visited your channel for the firs time, obviously because it was an Ireland trip :) This trip was very lavish though and not too many could afford such luxuries. Beautiful though, great share and so glad you enjoyed it. Subbed!

We certainly did a few things that were a bit "over the top" but I definitely could imagine a slightly scaled back version that would still be incredible. Galway was such a refreshing surprise! We loved the vibe of the city and we loved how friendly the people were. Thanks for the feedback - we will definitely be back!

We couldn’t get over the Cliffs of Moher! There are lots of tourists there, but it’s easy to see why. It is simply stunning!

They were huge! We also got to go on the morning walk with the wolfhounds at Ashford Castle. It was so fun to watch them run through the woods. We loved it!

Ah, got it. Can I ask what you thought of the tourist crowds in August. We are planning a late August trip this year and a few comments have been made about the potential crowds. What is your opinion?

It will be busy, but not overwhelming. You will be shocked at the number of 50 passenger coaches at the hot spots like the cliffs of moher. If you have small group options and private tours those will be your best bets. We always look for smaller group experiences and found plenty of options. August is a great time to go. We live in the states in Alabama so we were thrilled with the cooler weather!
