Okay but what about the powder in the actual video
Honestly the variety of tools created for catching rodents never ceases to amaze me
Big business
Nuisance control does pay.
Makes sense though since mice/rats caused the death of 1/3 of the population with the Bubonic Plague, lol. Ever since then it's been a massive war to kill them all, plus they eat your food, and crop storage if you're a farmer
And yet we still are loosing this war...
I saw rat x at my local shoprite, I didn't even know it was sold in stores already
Please please remember if you find Tracking Powder such as Ditrac it is Very Very Toxic. That is not the same as what he shows here. Please do not confuse the two.
This is so PERFECT! Finding their home and pathway to capture them! It’s brilliant!!
um, no, to KILL them.
And then you accidentally try the UV light in your own bedroom and realize that their home is right inside your mattress o_O
I'd love to see a full episode using this to track and then using traps to trap them.
I agree
Look back in his videos or search for it on RUclips he had another video that shows it more
Be sure to give this a glowing review on Amazon.😃
I "see" what you did there!
Rats! You beat me to it!
What a clever unique way of addressing the issue. Thank you as always for informing us Shawn!
P.S. Wish I had thought of this lol
If you watched Better Call Saul, may have already thought of this. Except they use this method to find out where thrives hid their money.
Hi Shawn this is a great item for tracking those Pack Rats that have been stealing the items they stole from you over the years you might recover some of the missing items!
I was thinking of this kind of powder on Monday's episode w/ that cast iron trap!! Yes, it's time!
I remember seeing an article on this kind of powder in an article of Ranger Rick magazine when I was a kid in the early 1990s. It was accompanied by a comical picture of two glowing mice looking at each other in surprise.
Mouse rave powder...
Next release, mouse foam party
For the alternative lifestyle
I watch your channel all the time and one thing that I've noticed is, for a guy that has hundred of mousetraps, you sure have a lot of mice.
If politicians actually solved problems, how would they sell their campaign in the next election?
mice, rats, squirrels and gophers.................. etc
Very interesting. I suppose it has an added bonus of them being less wary of a trap in the same area after getting free food from the bait.
This needs to come with a tiny disco ball and techno dj booth.
Electro, please!! 😉
Thank you so much for sharing this information! This works!!!!! Well, the principle does. I went to the website that was linked in the description, but the trap was about $30, and the shipping was about $16. I thought it was bit pricey. So, I made my own version. I got fluorescent powder from Amazon. I put it inside an empty container with peanut butter as bait. I waited for about 3 days. Sure enough! I found a track! It was one mouse. The track just glowed super bright. Because of this, I was able to find the entry point, and seal it with steel wool. Without it, I would never have found it. Thank you again for sharing this information!
It's something I would both love to use and be absolutely horrified by the result. 🤯
This is awesome! Great for a barn but much more useful for an RV trailer. Much appreciated! Love and blessings from Ontario Canada!
Wow! Very very nice and impressive Shawn! Thanks for the info on the mouse tracker I'll certainly be looking into that for my folks.
Love your enthusiasm for mouse traps
wow its good too see you on my home page dude!! i haven't been suggested one of your videos in like a year? I'm subbed and everything too idk, thanks for the video!!
I like how he just calls all his pet mice "Mouse" now
They don't live for too long, so I guess giving them a name for the viewers might become a bit sad. Snowflake must be dead for 2 years.
@@stompchunkman4248 I'm aware of the lifespan thing, I just think it's cute
@@Knapperoni Very cute.
Do they sell these in rat sizes as well, or would rat grooming render this ineffective?
Good question.
I swear the RUclips algorithm never gives recommendations for your videos any more.
Very impressive system, great video 👍
Finnaly you posted.
You could use this to track down the pack ray that steals your stuff. Maybe get some of it back.
He'd have better luck hitting the local pawn shops.
This seems neat if you're just trying to figure out how mice are getting in. For killing them...any snap trap will already take care of it.
Seems good to find where they’re coming in
I just use Kraft Macaroni & Cheese powder. The meeces love it!
Great video!
Tracking dust has been a staple tool for professional pest controllers for years. I'm surprised you've only just discovered it
“This honestly looks like a product from Adam and Eve”.
I know everything about the ins and outs of mice life!
This Glow-In-The-Dark tells me, "No you don't!"
Really cool product! :)
I wish I came up with that idea . Genius
Based on the videos, it seems like about a 1/4" larger hole would help with the fatty's fitting. lol ;)
Hi Shawn, get video. What sort of camera do you use for your footage? Is it a 'no glow' camera?
Good work Crawdaddy.
Excellent product.
Track them and prevent future entry’s love it.
I see a new type of trap in the works. One made out of PVC pipe with a one way door.
That is absolute genius!
Nice powder tracking trap.
good video, thanks!
Great video, very different 👌
If used inside a house wouldn't it leave a big messy trail? Is it difficult to clean up?
This is almost better than trapping them, not really but the tracking information is Priceless.
Brilliant!!!
Very very impressive❕ Mouse trap Monday, "gamebreaker"‼️®™️
Cool!!! Thanks!!!
I would just be worried if it leaves a mess behind or is it easily cleaned?
That is so cool!
Plot twist: the entire house glows now.
Good stuff!
That was VERY interesting.
Awesome!
excellent info. for the link in description it says Product Not Available. I want to make sure I get the correct glowing powder. Also with the money (and many hours) I spent on traps, poison bait, etc. so far, I am sure I would have been better off to hire a professional to do this instead, but I am also sure not all of them offer the glowing powder service, so it is good to know to ask them about this, get a quote and see if you prefer to do it yourself.
this is a great idea
Neat. Looks very useful.
That's awesome!
I really think the mouse on 2:00 should be Spiderman's side-kick 😄
We had tracking powder in The UK which apart from being sticky was also poisonous, the rodents would take it back to their nests and it would kill every rodent that it came in contact with. They banned it!
They could only ban something useful in the UK.
@@spookybabathat's just not thoughtful or informed at all and I hate the sentiment behind those kind of comments
@@00bean00 Deal with it.
such a good idea
pretty cool Shawn
Very cool and interesting.
a thought: take of the siding issue. when a mouse dies (of natural causes) inside a wall, you get to adore his rotting stench for many days.
That invaluable!
Very useful
I need one of those lights!
I wonder if this would work to identify which of my friends has been raiding my cookie stash?🤔
@@JohnRohoboth cringe
Hide the tracking powder with bait cheetos. The mice will never know.
Nice! Would this work as well outside? My guess is as long as it doesn't rain.
This is a game changer.
Thanks Shawn 😽😽😽
Where did you get the powder?
Wonder how far they travel before it stops leaving a track?
Not too far, I'd guess.
Iv been doing this for ages. I use a UV torch to see the powder. The uv will show the smallest speck of powder. Wish I thought of branding and selling
Mouse thought he was getting yummy Kraft macaroni powdered cheese.
I just want a real glow in the dark fluorescent mouse.... take my money.
We have the technology. Someone needs to do this
this is just the Faerie Fire spell in trap form. i love it. now give this to JoergSprave (the slingshot channel) and have him turn it into a ranged tracking tag
I'm 0:20 seconds in and if you show me this and tell me it really works, I don't even need to watch the rest of this video because I believe you.
But I will anyway because this is so freaking cool and I don't know why. Hopefully nobody dies on-screen :\
Edit: Yeeeep, I liked it! Any brand recommendations? :o Or will there be another video soon?
I have four game tracking cameras trying to figure out how they are getting in. Been looking for 3 years cannot find a hole. I have got to try this stuff...
Now the other mice will think those guys have been rolling themselves in Cheetos like a pig in the mud.
Did you see any glow-in-the-dark poop pellets? I'm wondering if they eat the stuff.
Yes they eat it. We use Contrac Blox with lumitrac. It glows from their poop.
Wonder if this would work on rats outside to better know where to place traps?
The mouse hunter just entered mouseshwitz
I wonder if it's fluorescent chalk?
I really want to know if it’s the same barn or different barns this whole time
Cheetos Mice! Good tracking system. Thank you it was a good vid
I love all your videos man and this one blew my mind tbh but not your pet mouse looks like she got into your Cheeto bag lmao
Mouse be like : hmmm where is the death machine by hooman
A tracker to find best place to set up traps. Where are we goinging...?
A great idea for people living in rv.
Mouse tracks Monday
I just found out that this super cheap marking chalk works great as a rodent tracking powder: IRWIN Tools STRAIT-LINE High-Visibility Marking Chalk, Orange
Hi Shawn I remember hearing of exterminators using this method but never seen the powder for sale
Please do not use tracking powder from exterminators as it is Very Very Toxic. Use what he shows in the video!
@@maybeso1547 what's this powder made if though?
Diphacinone is what the active ingredient is is Ditrac tracking powder. It sticks to their fur and when they groom themselves they get poisoned. We don't use it to track persay.
@@maybeso1547 What you are talking about it called "Contact Dust" in the UK. It has not been in use for several years as it is now banned.
@@brianm8633 it is still in use here in the US. Called tracking powder and is listed as Restricted Use. Only those of us with a license are allowed to buy. But others have been able to get it online. Brand name Ditrac. They also make bait.
I tried the other glow in the dark kit that was featured, I got two for the basement, and they just didnt care about it. They barely touched it and it tracked a mouse about 6 inches. 60 bucks I'll. Never get back. This one mabey looks better because it seems like the powder sticks better but eh.
HAPPY RAT TRAP MONDAY!!!!!!
Looks like pure Uranium? has it been tested on animals?
I would like to see a new episode of Housetrap Monday. I liked that format! There you could use this powder to track the rodents.
your mouse looks like he's been in the Cheetos
Not sure about the price of this kit, but it’s a great idea.
