The kit in this review is the original. GEPRC has since updated everything to make it more modern. Tomorrow I have a video coming out concerning kits under $200. This kit is not part of that review as it is over $200. In the future I'll make a vid of more expensive kits and this one may be part of it.
Just bought one for myself. I have a DJI air 2 as my first drone and this will be my second . I bought my little brother the betafpv advanced kit . Was gonna get me one too until I saw this . Thank you for the video. I think if the 4K is good enough. I might train myself to use this in real estate . I’m a real estate agent so these ideas are fun. Just need to pass my 107 first .
old comment but this is not a camera drone, its an fpv drone with a camera. you would be better walking around a house holding your phone up for a virtual tour etc. this is a fun drone not so much a tool drone unless you want to see on your roof or up a coon infested attic or something.
I've been saving my money for a new paintball gun, and I've been looking at fpv drones and I like what I see, I really want to just buy this instead of the gun, but I already ordered. This is definitely going to be the next thing I buy.

@@vindogg80 Yes, goggle padding came off before I started to use it. Buy a nice multi-protocol support radio, practice with FPV simulator. Once comfortable, buy a good quality goggle and an FPV drone. This is much more economical route if you seriously want to be in FPV hobby.
There are pro's and cons watching all your videos. I gave a friend the sg906 pro for christmas because of your review on that. Now I'm considering this little drone for me even though I shouldn't. It looks like a fun little drone though.
Hey captain, I was so excited with this video that you convince me to buy one of this drone jajaja, I am a DJI drone user but definitely I really wanna taste the adrenaline of FPV world. So, I bought one of this, I just got it and it's totally different now, the control is completely different, now you can connected to a computer to use it with a simulator, the batteries you can recharged it now. I think this video deserves an update to see how it goes. I had to buy the batteries so I have to wait a little longer to start flying in this new world. Love your content man. Made me go out and buy a mini 2 and so far so good. Learned it pretty quick and it's an amazing drone. It was raining so my first flight was indoors and it was surprisingly easy to operate. I want the FPV DJI next but also leaning towards the Pro DJI. Kinda my new hobby. Fascinated how much technology goes into these thing's.

I'm looking at the tiny go for the 4k camera and the tinyhawk 3 for the use of a simulator for practice. Which one would you recommend for a beginner with absolutely no experience of an fpv drone. Also to add on to that, I have a dji mini 3 pro. Please let me know which one you would recommend
@@noahlawson6 the Tinygo I reviewed here is not the one that is available today, there have been improvements, so I can’t compare them. The Cetus X pro is another one to consider for a beginner.

Just checking... looking at the specs on the website, the googles are 800x480? Glad I saw this video. I was about to purchase the EMAX Freestyle 2 kit. Like the googles and transmitter in this kit better. The drone seems easier to control for me, as a beginner.

Got mine a few weeks ago just started getting a handle on it and my son asked to fly it and when he hooked up the battery it started to smoke a little. Controller was on first. Just wondering if you know if I can get just the drone anywhere or get a hole new stack and receiver. Love this drone and would like to see it fly again. Thank you for your time and your great videos
You'd have to ask GEPRC that question since they are the only ones who sell it. When a drone or battery smokes upon connection it means there is a short (i.e., something is damp or something is touching). In my experience with first time pilots to FPV, it's usually always the battery leads to the drone that are the short issue due to the way people connect and disconnect the batteries.

With 2s is the power too much to control indoors compared to BetaFPV whoop with tiny motors and TinyHawk? 3. Does the controller has USB connection to connect with Simulator? 4. How good/bad are the gimbals on the controller, if at all they exist? 5. Does the 4K camera has some protection around it in case of crash? 6. Finally, and most importantly how's your experience with GEPRC aftersales services and support?
ANSWERS: 1. This drone is larger in size 2. For indoors fly it in ANGLE MODE for stability and set the forward camera to horizontal 3. I don't know if it is compatible with simulator (did not see it in the specs) 4. Joysticks are what you'd expect for a beginner kit 5. No protection other than the body and prop guards 6. I have never used GEPRC after sales service or support

No doubt about it this starter kit has quality gear and the price reflects that. That transmitter even looks like a smaller version of DJI's digital transmitter! The 4k camera has that fisheye effect, but I think it's a good tradeoff for a drone with such a small form factor. In this video you said the transmitter can store up to 3 different drones in its memory. Do you know which receivers it will bind to? Another great review as always and I look forward to your review of DJI's FPV "starter kit" lol.

Awesome review! Looks like the best kit available. You did a review of the Emax EZ Pilot December of 2019. Also a great kit but that one is truly for a beginner. I am an experienced pilot and I like the GEPRC product because of it's many features and it's really nice if you just want to pack light and go. Happy New Year Steve.
Okk so after 3 weeks of having ordered it i finally have my first fpv, super fun to learn and so diff from dji a real new challenge! I really like this review as you are always so thorough but i must say that i am disappointed to find out that i didn't have 4 batteries coming out with my order... thank god i had ordered an extra 3 on top of the package... The drone is awesome and easy to use which is great for a first fpv experience but its the people at geprc that are not eas. i processed my order on 6 th of jan i had i wait 2 weeks to only find i had to pay more for my shipping and that is after mailing them twice in between had i not done so not sure they would have reached out. It did take about 6 mails and about 3 weeks before my order was processed, and still with not 4 batteries, gr8 drone, logistics and sales service need to be rethought, quite disappointed though... I had to pay extra transport for the extra batteries they were in the drone bag but the 4 batteries are not there all in all my order costed me 397 usd plus tax and still they screwed it up i have written to them and i really hope they will act out of their own pocket..
Quick update they refunded the batteries that are missing, so that's nice ,but they seem to not be capable of getting straight answers, if i want to replace an order... so stuck on 2 batteries for now really hope not for too long!
ended reordering the batteries.... and now they can t seem to send them to me..... gr8 drone but very complicated people, and every time, if you don't contact them they don't tell you there is a problem with the order so unprofessional.....

@ maybe it was by putting the gimbals in a certain position? (Left one on the middle left and the right one up if I remember correctly?), cause on other drones that I’ve seen it works like that, anyways I’ll try when I get it. Thanks anyways mate 🙌🏼

Very good video. Wish I could have seen this a month earlier before I ordered the betafpv advanced kit. Got that and on the first day after flying well for maybe 4 batteries it said "RX LOSS" and I can't get it to work again. Support hasn't helped me yet. Will be interesting to see how the warranty works after an international order!
Hey I just bought this drone it came in today and I was flying line of sight just perfect and then I put on the goggles, it looked kind of blurry or weird maybe it's not really blurry it just looks different from the videos that I've seen on RUclips of people flying FPV with goggles. I do wear contacts but is that just the way it is the 1st time you use goggles it's just a lot harder?
This looks very interesting... goggles, controller and a micro drone. It actually looks like the little brother of the Cinelog 25. What is also funny is that it also weighs exactly 80, just like the Rhyze Tello.
In most of the world the throttle is on the left and that is called MODE 2. If yours is on the right, then stick with that (on the right is called MODE 1)
Sounds like newer product than what I've shown here, so I'd suggest check the MOTORS to see if they are different as well as the VTX system (does one have a micro SD option and the other does not?)
Ive found it out.. Soo the racing version doesn’t have on board recording and the only way to record is trough goggles. The reason I asked is because I broke the drones VTX and i want to replace the drone only and there seemed to be a big difference in price.. I guess i should just go with the $250 one…

Yes, it does the normal freestyle that you'd expect is something this small and made for people just starting out.

Also how is the 4K recorded ?does the drone have a sd card slot or is it transferred back to the goggles ?
Yes, there is a micro SD Card slot. I used a 32 gig Sandisk card in mind. Yes, the same camera records the video and sends it back to the goggles.

Okk so after 3 weeks of having ordered it i finally have my first fpv, super fun to learn and so diff from dji a real new challenge! I really like this review as you are always so thorough but i must say that i am disappointed to find out that i didn't have 4 batteries coming out with my order... thank god i had ordered an extra 3 on top of the package... The drone is awesome and easy to use which is great for a first fpv experience but its the people at geprc that are not eas. i processed my order on 6 th of jan i had i wait 2 weeks to only find i had to pay more for my shipping and that is after mailing them twice in between had i not done so not sure they would have reached out. It did take about 6 mails and about 3 weeks before my order was processed, and still with not 4 batteries, gr8 drone, logistics and sales service need to be rethought, quite disappointed though... I had to pay extra transport for the extra batteries they were in the drone bag but the 4 batteries are not there all in all my order costed me 397 usd plus tax and still they screwed it up i have written to them and i really hope they will act out of their own pocket..

Quick update they refunded the batteries that are missing, so that's nice ,but they seem to not be capable of getting straight answers, if i want to replace an order... so stuck on 2 batteries for now really hope not for too long!
ended reordering the batteries.... and now they can t seem to send them to me..... gr8 drone but very complicated people, and every time, if you don't contact them they don't tell you there is a problem with the order so unprofessional.....

Oh, I don’t recall, but normally on most goggles, the MENU is often a quick press of one of the buttons (other than the SEARCH buttons)
@ maybe it was by putting the gimbals in a certain position? (Left one on the middle left and the right one up if I remember correctly?), cause on other drones that I’ve seen it works like that, anyways I’ll try when I get it. Thanks anyways mate 🙌🏼
@@CldVisualsYT No, what you are referring to there is NOT DVR PLAYBACK but rather going into the MENU system on the drone itself to change settings.

Very good video. Wish I could have seen this a month earlier before I ordered the betafpv advanced kit. Got that and on the first day after flying well for maybe 4 batteries it said "RX LOSS" and I can't get it to work again. Support hasn't helped me yet. Will be interesting to see how the warranty works after an international order!
This or the tiny hawk or the betafpv. I hate having no idea but needing to make a choice
Hey I just bought this drone it came in today and I was flying line of sight just perfect and then I put on the goggles, it looked kind of blurry or weird maybe it's not really blurry it just looks different from the videos that I've seen on RUclips of people flying FPV with goggles. I do wear contacts but is that just the way it is the 1st time you use goggles it's just a lot harder?
This looks very interesting... goggles, controller and a micro drone. It actually looks like the little brother of the Cinelog 25. What is also funny is that it also weighs exactly 80, just like the Rhyze Tello.
Nice review! For someone using a Dji Mini should I buy a Mode 1 version, with throttle on the right just like the Mavic?
In most of the world the throttle is on the left and that is called MODE 2. If yours is on the right, then stick with that (on the right is called MODE 1)

Sounds like newer product than what I've shown here, so I'd suggest check the MOTORS to see if they are different as well as the VTX system (does one have a micro SD option and the other does not?)
Ive found it out.. Soo the racing version doesn’t have on board recording and the only way to record is trough goggles. The reason I asked is because I broke the drones VTX and i want to replace the drone only and there seemed to be a big difference in price.. I guess i should just go with the $250 one…
I am going to buy this next week. It looks perfect for winter & practicing FPV & i am not able to afford the DJI FPV kit at the minute.

Not worth it with this kit as you won't see too much improvement.
