Funny the Canyon Ultimate touted as comfortable. I was just thinking tonight how comfortable my Aeroad is. I think Canyon knows very well how to make a bike comfortable.
You guys have made this list too UK-Centric. I am surprised that there are so many UK-based bike brands though and they seem to have a lot of good options
So good to see a steel endurance bike in the top spot (as an owner of an old Genesis Equilibrium). Looks an absolute dream bike. Really well thought out list. Great to see bikes like the Vitus and Boardman on the list - you can get very decent bikes for under a grand.
We love the Strael! In fact so much so that it won our bike of the year in last years awards, only bikes that we reviewed in 2022 were up for contention for this awards show 😊
Spent about 500 miles on it and so far so good. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA Pros:1. Very light2. Solid quality build3. Fast delivery: It arrived 5 weeks earlier than expected.4. Easy assemblyJust a few cons but nothing major:1. Cheap tin tubes and had flat on first day... but not a big deal. I replaced the tubes.2. Seat is a bit uncomfortable but that's pretty much the same situation with most bikes.3. Seat post is a bit long/high for a smaller size 48 bike - had to saw 2 inch off to fit properly. The lowest setting is too high. The post locking system does not seem to hold well (perhaps because I saw 2 inch off).4. wheels are not tubeless compatible (from what I can tell)
No way is the steel Mason better than the aluminium version. Well least not to every other single review on the Internet and its more expensive and heavier!!. And where is the Fairlight! At least as good as the steel Mason!. How come everything you pick as a winner has to have electronic gears?. Hardly any good in the middle of nowhere is it?. If you are going to pick serious long distance travel bikes as winners pick one you might have a chance to fix if it goes wrong guys.
@@cccpkingu I just picked a dinky alu, a tifosi rostra frameset for 395 gbp.... I can have 3 of those for the price of one steel frameset (why are metal tubes so expensive?). And I will build a pretty damn good bike out of it, for very little money.... I had not long ago a steel bike, a Willier Strada with modern Tiagra groupset (retailing new in 2018 for 450GBP), nice looking bike, but nothing special about it... The so called comfortable ride, that is easily achieved by simply installing 30c-32c tyres on the bike.
go back to your keyboard, push up your glasses and email all the smallest companies that need exposure so we can get paid to review them. Don't email Giant even though they have the best bikes. They didn't pay us so they don't make it into our video.
Not quite sure what your point is here? They aren’t getting sponsored for this content, the requirement for being on this list is that they sent them a bike to review.
Go on then, give us your list. Hope you cover all price points from budget, midrange up to superbike. Also can you cover all riding types from endurance to sprinting oh and throw in a few different frame materials to cover all options.
@@HolmsOnBikes Great but just saying this list is a Joke or putting a couple of laughing emojis is really a poor critique. Try give useful feedback to the parts you disagree with, rather than just a blanket statement that doesn't help anyone.
@Alex Just like this video doesn't meet our requirements for being a good "top bikes" list, I think your critique of our critique isn't good enough. I want you to make an outline stating what exactly is an acceptable youtube comment, using examples where applicable. Then please write a 5,000 word essay arguing your point. This is youtube. People leave a comment real quick with their opinions and then move on. These guys are big boys, they can handle a little criticism. My only conclusion regarding this list is that these are the bike brands that paid the most money throughout the year to them. That's how bad of a list it is.
The Definition Chorus is a dream bike for me. I think it's stunning!

So glad my Evoke MK3 made it on the list! Great video guys!
Good choice! What stem are you running?
Definition Chorus is my choice 🚲🚲🚲

"Carbon isn't everything" True!! Carbon isn't even most things 😀👍
Whatever happened to the cycles by Fairlight, the Strael should be on this list, perhaps even the Secan. All the best, Gerlach Sven

Wow! The Freemasons have their own bike?
Rim brakes for the win in 23.
Hoping we get some more in to review but it’s not looking likely!

You don't have to pick electronic gearing, but you can opt for a steel variant rather than what is pretty dinky alu at low weight.

There is no aluminium version of the SLR. The steel version of the Definition is the Resolution.
These bikes are totally different to the SLR.
Where are the Colnago C68 and V4rs?
We should move on from rim brake bikes... there;s no need. This would reduce manufacturer SKU costs that would hopefully trickle down.
What is the Allez doing on here? It is the worst version to date.
It deserves the prize for the ugliest welds in the world. Only Cannondale Optima may compare.
Have you ridden it?
I ride bmc ALR. And it’s feel great.
Emperor, your new clothes are mint!
Isn’t there something missing in the title, a UK, as in BEST UK Road Bikes For 2023 Awards Show
Are they all made ouf of carbon, need WiFi to shift, have disc brakes and cost 20k dollars?
No…
😂😂😂
watch the video before making such a stupid comment
So another UK bike list ? The best of the best ?
8000 £😂😂😂

Definitely agree with you. This list is kind of a joke. And by "kind of"...I mean it definitely is.

Awful bikes - product placements…
