Amen! I'm the day custodian my 2nd year during covid stressful AF! We are all so burnt out. I am thankful my teachers wipe their desks I do the rest! 24 classrooms 18 bathrooms every day! Plus run errands for anyone who needs it. I love my school staff but I don't want to do it forever!

I watched the video but still failed my cleaner interview at St. Edmunds Catholic school Portsmouth....plus I have had 15 years experience in cleaning including cruise ships. Maybe Mr. Jim and Glen who interviewed me know better.
Ah yes totally realistic, 5-6s to spray down two desks right next to eachother starting form the first spray. so 3s to spray a desk another 5s to wipe down a clean desk 10-30s to clean one that's actually dirty. Yeah every custodian with 20 classrooms with 25+ desks in them will definitely be dong this. 500 desks you're looking at at least 90 min to just clean the desks. This is a stupid dreamworld video for most school custodians lol
Also they need to pay more I work for a company contractor in the school district they pay minimum wage while I clean 16 classrooms spring break and summer time a lots of moving furniture a lest $10 dollars
I love how clean everything is already. In the real world 9 pencils and food all over the floor. Trash cans over flowing and lazy teachers don't care

Yeah last last time I cleaned a small whiteboard I got a note from a teacher telling me not to even erase whiteboard

All this for one classroom and you have 15 or 20 more classes to in a 8 hour shift.
Seriously, you have to prioritize pencil sharpenings, trash, then sweep and mop. The rest can be done if truly needed.
I don’t know where that school is but it’s the cleanest I’ve ever seen. In the real world classrooms are destroyed every day.
