When reviving, Sharon says that she cannot hear anything. Her parents claim that they will never forgive Mr. Hu. The school gets in a dilemma. His colleagues and even family are growing away from him.

Idk how she fanted, idk If it was also a pretend or if it was real. All can say is that she pretended all along. She should have known the consequences of her actions and that it could take a life. So the real bad person here is the girl

Guys I'll admit she was playful and disrespectful but she's just a kid ok, don't be too hard it on her. She must have felt very lonely without her dad. The teacher should admit that he actually hit her instead of saying he 'lightly touched' her shoulder with the book.

For those immediately jumping into bashing the child: Yes she is at fault. But there was a part of the video that said “There is no such thing as a bad child. There are only immature ones.”. So what she did was just the worst case scenario of immaturity (she clearly just wants to see her dad and her teacher became an unintentional victim of that), not just something that is simply labelled as “bad”. And I think she fully realised what she did at the end, which probably suggests her finally growing out (or starting to grow out) of her immature phase.
So yep calm down on that kid, people.
Moral of the story. Lie to get what you want. Lie to have someone's life destroyed. Lie to get ahead. This girl is more than at fault. Blame her parents.

This was so sad. I think both the teacher and the girl are at fault, since the teacher did hit her hard and the girl did lie and everything. If I were to compare what the teacher did and what the girl did, I would definitely say that the girl committed something way worse. A simple lie to get her attention and love from her dad became someone's downfall.
I liked the teacher in this, even if he lied about only gently touching the girl's shoulder to prevent people laughing at him. In Asian countries, doing that is actually kind of normal because of how discipline is given a lot of importance.
The ending was rather bittersweet. It kind of showed me that both the teacher and the girl were very kind people, just that something really unfortunate happened.

That wasn't even a slap. The hit was not so hard. Even if it was it wouldn't cause her to faint or become deaf. You know I am even weaker than her but it only hurts bad, it cannot cause any sort of damage

You guys have to understand that schools in say the US is different from China. That’s how their schools works, they are very strict.
In the US, if a teacher touched a student, the parent will go crazy.
In China, teachers can hit students if they do anything wrong (problem as small as hair being too long). Being so harsh, students study and do well in subjects.
I think this is why people say Asians are smart- it’s not genetics, just that the rest of the world go too easy on their students.
Yes, that girls story is sad and whatever but the teacher slapped her because she was late and laughing/talking during class. That slap was actually a lenient punishment, they could do much worst like whipping,spanking, or locking you up in a bathroom(bathrooms in China stinks so bad it’s deathly)

This is worded weirdly because it sounds like you're saying that just because teachers shouldn't put their hands on the students here in America (which I don't think they should do at all) means that American students are spoiled. Also, there are strict ass schools here too, but they all function differently. You should know that too.

So she was mas that she got in trouble and wanted to be closer to her dad for him to be with her at her birthday. But the only way to do that was to lie about it and let the teacher suffer. When the teacher died she had realized what she had done was wrong so the part in the rain it shows that if he was still alive she would have gave him her forgiveness and to let him know he has been a good teacher and that she should return the favor.... It bugs me how teacher like this received this kind of outcome when my old, teacher managed to walk freely without receiving any sort of punishments. It's not ok to punish students but sometimes it's really frustrating when ill mannered students do stuff and put others in a very difficult situation. While I was tutoring I had experienced how annoying some students can b, even the most patient teachers can loose their calm, that's what happened with this teacher as well. I feel sorry that he lost his life and also his pride..

Guys you have to understand in parts of Asia in schools it’s OK to hit kids. I don’t necessarily like that but that’s how it is. I was born in Bangladesh and they hit kids in school. So from Asian peoples perspective hitting a child wouldn’t be wrong. So basically this man did nothing wrong. The child just wanted attention and it costed someone’s life :< I think the girl is not a bad child she’s very immature. So many ways to keep him alive. If only the girl didn't lie. If only the girl's father immediately reached out to the teacher once he knew the truth. If only there were supportive family and colleague. Honestly I haven't seen the teacher did anything wrong. It doesn't matter hitting on face or shoulder, it didn't even leave red mark. I love kids and against child abuse, but like it or not sometimes children need to be taught with pain purposely to create that trauma over doing something not right (not to be confused with "not right" things as any abuser define it). I vaguely remember a similar local case where the girl lied being assaulted by the teacher because he rejected her. Good thing was she blundered about the time being assaulted which actually then he was away at teacher meeting. The case only lasted a week nationally but I think it was traumatic enough for the teacher
As a teacher we have the unmention rule "never touch the student". Even dont touch them we can not avoid the crash. One day, I slam my student exam paper to the floor because her lowest score and her attitude laughing when i told her about her low score. The student got irritated and report me to her parent. Can we just make it clear that the teacher DID NOT hit her with an open hand or his hand at all. He just used the momentum of turning so fast while his arm was put as a slap with the book. If he was to slap her with actual force behind the hit his arm would have be higher up in the air and came down on her since gravity would have more force, and would have really used his hand. Also he didn’t hit her on the head or the side of her to where her pressure point was at her temple. The book or any object would have had to be a lot heavier if it stuck her at her pressure point to cause damage. And since he swung with his left hand and swung as he turned he really only hit her in the front of the have or close to the nose area, so if any damage was to be done it would have been to her nose or upper lip.
