Exactly!!! Furnishing and decorating an apartment/ home takes time!Sometimes it’s a lot of buying and returning cuz some things don’t look how you envisioned it in the space. Coming up on a year in our apartment and it’s still not done. We focused on the necessities first (which for us was bed frame and mattress, and a small dining table and chairs cuz it served as somewhere to eat and do school work) then we moved on to sofa as our next big furniture item (and finding the right sofa took the longest). This was our first space so we were basically starting from scratch so all those kitchen necessities we had to spend on as well (pots, knives, utensils, plates, etc) as the furnishings… we also didn’t wanna go into debt doing it so we honed in on what we NEEDED first and Everything else came in after.

This video gives me PTSD 😅 We lost most of our furniture due to Hurricane Ida flooding. We had to suddenly move after only having moved 3 weeks prior. It's been A STRUGGLE for me to buy all new furniture for an entire house, especially since I had carefully acquired so much of my furniture from thrift stores, antique shops and FB Marketplace. I loved all my old stuff and miss it dearly, and these 'new in box' prices give me anxiety when I pull the trigger 🙃 The wait times usually just make me close the tab out lol.
@@abetweene Thank you. I try to look at it as "oh, cool. new stuff!" (and I do love our new place more so than the previous), but I don't buy things just to have "stuff" (I know you can relate). I've been soothing myself with calming scents for the body/bath/home. I'd be interested in seeing a "favorite scents" video!
