For M43 engine best use 10w40 for N42 and 46 0w40
For M47 and M57 use 0/5 W40
For M52 and 54 5w40
For M54b30 use 5w40 if you drive hard 5w50 or 10w60
For all engine change every 10 to 15K

Nice content bro.
Working on my e46 318ci.
I’m asking myself if the e39 oil filter housing fits the e46 one.
I’m planning to upgrade mine because the one with a bolt head on top seems more convenient at home oil changes.
What do you think ?

I really like that you are working on your car by yourself. Sadly the 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines have other oil filter housings, so it won't fit.
