This was hands down the best of the classic Castlevania titles, with III and Bloodlines both being a very close second. This one had it all going, the flow of each level from one to another and the level design as a whole, it was almost seamless, then there's the atmospheric soundtrack by Masanori Adachi and Taro Kudo, the amazing gameplay and memorable boss battles. The game is a classic in every sense of the word.
