This is the greatest performance of this prayer by anyone, no less a child, she is a gift from God.

This is in my opinion one of the best performances of any song by Jackie that I have ever seen...and I've seen a lot. lol

Jackie still amazes me, from when I first heard her AGT appearances. Her voice is sublime, but it's her ear for music that has me in awe. She can hear exactly where her notes should go, and her voice always obeys. Even as a young child, she was not hitting as many off-the-mark notes as almost anyone that age would. I love her singing. It's clear that you do, too.

Thank you again for another great reaction presentation. A fan of Jackie's who was present for her Dallas 2011 concert asked a 20 year season ticket holder how many standing ovations artists normally receive for a performance. he was told one at the end. Jackie sang 11 songs for her first performance in Dallas, 2011, and received 11 standing ovations. I thought you would appreciate that and thanks again for another of your outstanding presentations.

The first performance of the Lord's prayer by Jackie Evancho is the best single recording of Jackie's beautiful voice on the internet. The sound engineer was working overtime.

THAT first performance - one of the most incredible things I have ever heard....WOW Jackie!!!! The second performance was awesome too, of course. ;)

One other difference between the two is that the second one is outside while the earlier one was in a church. The acoustics in the church makes her already incredible voice just out of this world.

Thank you @QueenoftheNorth for this reaction video. I appreciate your positive comments. Jackie's voice was stunning at 11 years old and still is today. Of course, beyond her incredible voice is the entire emotional impact that Jackie brings to us. She has said that the music possesses her and that is so very evident in both of these performances of The Lord's Prayer.

Queen: many of Jackie's "Dream With Me" concert videos have been returned to RUclips after several years absence. Produced by David Foster, this is available in DVD concert or CD audio or download. The entire concert video is a masterpiece that should be in every fan's collection. Astounding, awesome, amazing. Stuff we have not seen on RUclips for years.

I was at that concert in Dallas and till this day it was in my opinion the most moving rendition ever let alone at 11 years of age. At fifteen she was restricted in projection and volume do to severe stress of undeveloped vocal cords and larynx and diaphragm caused by over use continuously at a premature age. But she has matured and has recovered Thanks for the reaction

Very good, QOTN. I think one thing that gives her fans such a rise of feelings in her earlier performances as a young child is she had such earnest enthusiasm & emotion on her part; it is absolutely contagious! Her maturing voice has made her new album highly anticipated. Can't wait!

The fact that anyone nowadays would DARE to stand in front of an audience and sing "The Lord's Prayer" in the first place just blows me away. I think both performances are surreal, beautiful, and wonderful beyond words. Your facial expressions reminded me of Donna Reed when Shelley Fabres sang "Johnny Angel" in the 1962 broadcast and revealed more about your analysis that you could ever speak. Loved listening to both ... now that I know what you do, I'll subscribe to your channel. I love great music and I hope Evancho sticks with Opera and dumps the pop ... but that's just me.

QOTN: Thanks again for another review of Jackie, Then and Now. Just a few notes about these two performances. Jackie at 11 was performing in only her second solo concert. It was a very emotional occasion for her, and she was closely surrounded by the orchestra and audience in this venue (Dallas, TX). Jackie obviously used that emotion to pump up her performance, just one of her amazing characteristics. In the second performance, she was at the Festiva Italiana (Milwaukee, WS), outdoors in 90-degree heat standing in the sun throughout. For me, the Milwaukee performance was also incredible because of the adverse conditions she faced.

The first clip was taken by a fan attending Jackie's concert, not of a high quality. Why not use the video from Jackie's PBS Great Performances Special filmed just 4 days after Jackie's 11th Birthday? The second was also recorded by a fan at a out door venue. Both are beautiful but neither captures the total, true quality of Jackie's voice or performance. Thanks for your support of Jackie.

Imho, her breath control & phrasing seemed better when she was 11. At 15 her voice was more powerful & refined (beautiful), but her phrasing seemed broken up at random places.
Overall I was more impressed with young Jackie.

I was at that concert in Dallas, sitting above and to the right of Jackie. Still one of the most amazing things I have ever seen or heard. Please also react to Jackie singing "Lovers" at her very first concert following AGT in Houston. A concert I also attended. This is my favorite song that Jackie sings. ruclips.net/video/8Tn4cvRINFY/видео.html You might also consider reacting to her entire Houston concert in Houston, although it is 36 minutes long. Well worth the watch.

Just a random thought. The Evancho family are devout Roman Catholic. Imagine if you will that you are attending Mass in the same church as Jackie! Would you join in singing the hymns along with Jackie or would you keep your mouth shut and enjoy her Beautiful Blessed voice?

As a fellow Catholic, I really wish people would stop attaching the word 'devout' to the Evanchos. It's obvious Jackie was inspired to kindness by her upbringing, however any more than that is projection. Besides, it really is a burden we ought not place on her.

@@DFWTexan42 Just like many Catholics do, going to Church at Easter and Christmas does not make one a "devout Catholic." If they are "devout Catholics" then I'm the pope!

The sound engineer did a better job on the first video than the sound engineer on the second video which appeared to have been recorded outdoors. This critic might enjoy watching Lea Salonga get her oriental husband to react emotionally at their wedding when she sings a love song for him on the RUclips video entitled Lea Salonga's wedding! "two words". Lea became famous as Miss Saigon on Broadway.

LOVERS with Japanese drummers and musicians will blow your mind, and is a must to hear and react to. Also check out Dark Waltz which is equally amazing. ruclips.net/video/6qj8bDnLUrM/видео.html .....I didn't know how to contact you in private, but Jackie's GREATEST and first concert 2011 Dream With Me with David Foster is back. The recording is much better than this cell phone quality video. Imo, at her age, 10 or just turned 11, the quality and quanity 18 live songs, DWM should be considered as one of the greatest live DVD's and performances in history. All of her DWM videos were deleted from YT but I guess Jackie released them.

The Dallas recording when Jackie Evancho was 11 is her single best performance on the internet. The only thing comparable is contralto Anastasia Lee Johnson's studio versions of Amazing Grace and Skyfall. The orchestra didn't sound as good on the performance when she was 15 and the microphone she used wasn't as good as the little one she used when she was 11.

I was at that concert in Milwaukee. Performance from inside an outdoor shell and had a lot going on, especially very difficult weather. beyond that, I generally agree. Still a great performance. By the way, later that evening, Jackie, Anastasia Lee and Agne G. went out to see the other acts performing that nite.

The Dallas sound engineer did a better job of recording in the first video. Contralto Anastasia Lee Johnson's RUclips version of Amazing Grace is as spectacular as these performances deandmonstrates what a female singer who specializes in hitting low notes can achieve.

I agree I was more impressed with Jackie at 11 then the 2nd video, by the time she hit her mid-Teens she started getting distracted and sidetracked by the Pop market and begun to develop sloppy habits regarding her vibrato, she just sounds like a Pop singer now (a good one yes) but that bel like Soprano upper register lacks the colour it once had.
Now she's appearing on cheap TV shows like the Masked Singer why oh why God only knows?!

    • @cl9786
      @cl9786 3 года назад +2

The second video was an outdoor concert in blistering heat (over 100). Despite there being a large fan on stage, she was having a little difficulty breathing well enough to emote with her usual power. Btw, her range has increased. Her vibrato remains very controlled and beautiful while maintaining her signature soprano clarity (bell tone). You should realize that she purposely and selectively sings pop songs with straight tone technique and vibrato as well. Both are evident in her album, The Debut. Masked Singer was a long awaited opportunity to reveal her extraordinary versatility and to dispel the long held image of her as the "pint-sized little girl who sings opera". Seems you concluded that she "sounds like a pop singer now" from her performances on the show. She sang outside her genre and avoided her high soprano register, staying in mezzo range with a breathy pop style so not to be recognized....that's the objective of the show, and she did that exceedingly well completely fooling the judges, even many of her long time fans. Immediately following, she performed 3 concerts on one weekend performing her standard classical crossover repertoire to several standing ovations (as usual) at each venue. Many legendary artists have been contestants on Masked Singer. Tell them it's a "cheap show".
