- My brakes are due, so I thought why no buy the parts needed and give it a go. Very easy even if you have very small mechanical skills.
all you need is:
17mm socket 3/8 drive at least
5mm allan key
Polly grip/ slip jaw pliers.
Thanks Daryl. Still helping a fella out 5 years later.
I’m glad it’s helping people out. Keep safe out there riding and enjoy the wind in ya face
Thanks alot man. Youre guide came in clutch. My only problem is that now my brake light is on constantly. Is there an adjuster or switch that I need to tweak after putting on the pads?
DanDaDotman the brake light works off the switch either at the hand leaver or foot brake, the installation on new pads is all mechanical parts, pull the leavers and see if you can hear a little click as the switch is activated.
Thanks a lot for making this vid! Saved me $$$
I did this but now when i fully engage my front break lever the bike doesn't stop on a dime. the wheel still turns slightly; i have bled the breaks and replaced all the fluid. I don't think I have air in my lines, I bled them a few times now. is this normal?
Sebastian Morales no that’s not normal, if there is no air in the line you should be able to lock up the front wheel. Just changing brake pads wouldn’t put air in the line. Are you able to reverse bleed the system?
Bro, can you please show your handlebar closely? thanks!
Orlando MOrtiz sorry I no longer own the bike. What I did was unbolt the handlebar from the risers and just let them hang over the front while I unbolted the risers to turn them around, then bolted the handlebar back on. The risers end up slightly pointing forward, takes a couple of rides to get used to it, but worth it all the same.
@@mynameisdaryl.3595 thanks, bro!
No worries, any other things I could help with I'm happy to share
