- And we’re back! I’m so excited to share my adventures at the runDisney Princess Half Marathon 2024 weekend with you! I’m splitting this up into a three-part series, with this first vlog sharing my travel day (including the most crowded Magic Kingdom fireworks situation ever), and my first full day back in the magic, with scenes from the expo, more Magic Kingdom fun (hello, Tron! 🏍️), and all the sunshine feels of this special trip. I was at Princess, too! My first RunDisney weekend! Happily Ever After is my favorite fireworks show, went three times while I was there. Honestly, right at the beginning of Main Street was one of the best viewing points. You could see all of the fireworks, had a pretty clear view of the castle, and got to see all of the animations on the Main Street buildings which a lot of people don't realize they do. I also felt like there was so much more room to breathe, people weren't completely on top of each other. And made for a fast easy exit out of the park! Getting close to the castle is nice if you've never seen the show before to really see the animations, but otherwise the further away from the hub the better IMO.
Congrats on your Princess accomplishments! 👏🏃♀️ And thanks for the tip about the fireworks. I feel like I stood back there at one point in recent years and enjoyed it from that vanatagr point. Just wasn’t sure my kiddos who are little would be able to see well but that’s a good point about the projections on Main Street. Thanks for sharing! 💕
My daughter did her first run Disney 10k that weekend. She’s hooked and already planning her next one!! 🥰

These run vlogs are getting better. Love all of the footage outside of the race as well as the race and I love seeing the resorts and rooms. Baylake and contemporary are my faves!

We love to hang out by Gaston’s Tavern for fireworks! It’s not as great for projections but you are surrounded by fireworks and there is so much room! The tangled toilets are also a unique view :)

We watch the fireworks from the top of the railroad station. You cannot see the projections great but it’s a pretty good view of the fireworks and a very quick exit out after

We always sat at the restaurant outside can’t remember the name and had perfect view of fireworks, can’t remember the name of it but just ordered drinks and a snack. It was worth it.

Did you try any of the hair tools or halo extensions at the expo? I did, but the prices were outrageous! I’m pretty sure they quoted me like 600 dollars for a halo extension.

Enjoyed the vlog! The fireworks view over by Journey of the Little Mermaid ride (under/near Ariel at the front of the ship) is a nice alternative to the crowds on Main Street and the Hub area.

So far the earbuds are AWESOME! And the Donald on that shoe (and matching Mickey on my other pair) came in a set from the runDisney marathon weekend merch last year. I hope they’ll do something similar for future weekends! Too cute °o°
When I was there in mid-October they also had closed main st. I assumed that was normal.
I think it just keeps getting more crowded which is interesting considering the price hikes and complaints about that 🤔
