the tavern brawl was fun, as an addition to the story the Paladin was so drunk that he tried to lay on hands the dancer that got her skull caved. he scooped up the brain shoved them back into her head and cast lay on hand then got up and say yup that worked. he then ran to the nearest toilet to throw up and passed out right on the bowl. until this day he believes he totally saved that dancer (he did not).

-My first character died by getting her blood sucked out by a giant mosquito called EL MOSCO. I think it could have been avoided if I had known how short rests work and restored my HP.
-My second character (in the same campaign) came out of a bottle, and the Genasi in the group with low intelligence said, “Father?”

My homie ran Strahd for a year and we ended up canceling it after having to ret-con one session and spending 2 1/2 hrs with 3 PCs and a pit trap. We barely got past the church

For DMing, I like setting up several toolbox-like setups, because I never get to run modules for other players. By the time I can run games for anyone... schedules lining up... all that jazz... I have enough improv material to be self-sustaining for a LONG time... to an extent.
