    Can’t blame them. Crowd safety comes before crowd enjoyment. Especially when it comes to weather.

    Brent Smith is such a cool guy. If Travis Scott were up there, he would’ve kept the show going until the stage burned down.

      Scott would consider ten people killed by lightning an acceptable loss!!

    The need to move Rockville back to earlier in the calendar year like it was when it was held in Jax. Having it in the rainy season here in FL when everyone knows it's gonna start raining everyday at 5pm come May-Aug is just poor planning.

    People complained because nobody is hurt. But when somebody does get hurt they’ll complain that the festival didn’t shut down. Human beings don’t know what they want. The festival made the right decision for safety reasons! 🙂

    I remember Pukkelpop festival in Belgium years ago where people died with a storm that came out of nowhere ... Skunk Anansie was playing when hell broke loose... And there was also a festival in Germany that had the same problem..
    Festival organisors did the best and stopped everything!!! can't blame them

    I feel like I'm the only person saying this but give the fans who were there (tickets scanned) for the two days that headliners were canceled a 1 or 2 day voucher for next year or another Rock festival by the same organizers. We met people who flew from all across the country to come to this and spent a lot of money. That's the least they could do.

      You know what's weird about that normally they have it at the end of April beginning of May so I don't know why they changed it to the middle of May I'm assuming they should move it back to February or March where it's cooler weather and not as high of a chance of rain

    I mean what do you expect it rains during this time of the year in Florida I'm kind of shocked that you didn't have it there typical end of April beginning of May. There's a lot of people that will not return next year but they don't realize blueridgerockfest will had some negativity that happened then in 2018 it flooded out at Louder Than Life so this is not the first Festival to get it crapped on. But at the end of the day he will need to realize its mother nature not the promoter

  • @ari598
    @ari598 2 года назад +1

    This festival should be held in a different time of the year. When last year's festival was held in November, there were no issues with weather. May - September are the worst months to have an outdoor festival because of constant and very unpredictable weather. Also, the heat in Florida is horrible during those months. I think having it October - November would be best and would help make it smoother. Just makes it less chances of Increment weather and weather cancellations. Also would make all the people paying these high prices feel better about paying them.

    This was almost exactly like Epicenter 2019 in Rockingham. Second day we got run off to our cars and people had to cut fences down to get out at 2 AM.
    We had more warning at DWP Epicenter, at least we could get to our cars before the lightning.
    Carolina Rebellion and Epicenter Fest has disrupted numerous May shows… it’s part of the risk you take. We’ve missed Tool, Pearl Jam and Metallica during DWP festivals. At least no one died… and that’s what DWP wants.

    Stay tuned “Sneaking into Rockville”
    Sad the bands got rained out but to be fair I was getting paid to be there.
    Also made the best of it and went out and about “downtown”
    Regardless, I made an epic vlog. All while tent camping for free haha.
    Cheers guys. 🙏🏽

    It's Florida, that's like being upset in Min. for things being shutdown from a snow storm. Definitely have had shows shut down from bad weather it sucks. I totally understand; especially how much tickets are and the world had been shut down. Shit happens. Being pissed at the venue isn't going to change the weather.

  • @ManCity4InRow
    @ManCity4InRow 2 года назад

    Of course the promoters can’t control the weather. However, they can control when the festival takes place. They should do these in early December or March at the latest. Since they did the festival last year in November they could have waited this year till the first week of December (they claimed no one would insured them during hurricane season, which ends in November). Looks like they wanted to make quick money and decided to celebrate it 6 months after the previous one. It was my last time at an outdoor festival. I’ll be spending my money traveling to cool places from now on.

    This is why concerts should be indoors, never liked these big festivals outside. You get dehydrated, sunburned, and ultimately the sound is never as good outside. Plus you have to deal with the weather. I would be pissed if I traveled down there, paid for travel, hotel, gas, concert tickets, and every night cancelled. Again public safety is important I agree with the call, but we really should get away from these big outside festivals. Seems there is always an issue and usually the sound does suck.

      @@RockFeed I will agree with that as far as the producers and the people that put on the show but I don't agree with it not being someone of a cash grab when you're charging 40 $50 for a t-shirt when you're charging 10 to $15 for a 12 oz pop or water $16 parking camping etc etc etc there is Cash grab examples in these big festivals that's how they make their money buying the ticket price is a small part of what people spend at these concerts and they know that so they can name and make their price that's what I'm saying about the cash grab, not about the producers not about the bands itself they're the ones that usually get screwed too in this case the weather screwed everybody but all those little side stands selling whatever they selling they definitely got a good chunk regardless
