- It's the third day of Welcome to Rockville 2022 and the lineup is stacked, with Guns n Roses headlining the event. The weather had other plans as the entire day is impacted by lightning in the area. Hours spent in the grandstands of Daytona International Speedway with minimal communication, no cell service and virtually all bands being scrubbed for the day.

I feel so bad for everyone! Bands, fans, staff, volunteers. Giving you guys some good vibes for Sunday hopefully and we will be there next year!
Starfall the bands too but as I see there I didn't get to make this one that y'all got on the shelter that you didn't have to leave complete that this of the grounds and come back because at Rockville when it's in Jacksonville yes I did go to it today loud you to come back in or 3 hours later so don't lie maybe I don't see if you did come back to this one in 2022 but that was back in 2019 or 2020 when it left here but you know it's only have to travel buddy hope you have a safe day and hope today after that if not let me know thanks
We were there. Spent $800 on vip tickets. $400 on hotel. Saw 45 minutes of music total. It was a disaster. But I got to spend a couple of days with my daughter so I’m happy. Been waiting my entire life to see Guns N’ Roses, somehow it will happen one day.
At least you was in a hotel I get tent, generator, AC, chairs, E-Z up everything for my camping a lot of food plus the vip and orange camping tickets I’m so frustrated 😭
I feel the same way. The weekend was a wash out but I don't regret going.

DWP is actually working to bring them back next year to make up for it. GNR was actually extremely bummed they couldn’t play, they literally waited at the track until the very last sec until they called it. Just sucks
I came all the way from LA to see GNR. Wasted over $2500 in the 4 days there. Biggest waste of money ever.
Had the 4 day pass and saw 1 band that I came for. Down was the band!! Came all the way from Maine just to see Down! But they kicked ass!! Highlight of my weekend!
I missed out on skillet, breaking benjamin, megadeth, korn, bush, half of shinedown, guns and roses and much more. Drove 30+ hours. Thank goodness I saw sevendust and ded (new to ded and they were awesome live) along with bad omens, papa roach, kiss, spiritbox, halestorm, in this moment (and more i know im forgetting some). They saved the trip for me. So many bands that performed were absolutely awesome and thankfully made the trip worth it.

WOW that's horrible weather. I'm with you.....John 5 and Jerry Cantrell were the two I wanted to see the most. Ridiculous to schedule them to play at the same time. Thanks for the great view from the cheap seats 👍👍🤘🤘🍻🍻
while its true that you can't control the weather, Florida does have what is called a Rainy season which starts in the middle of May and goes through till October. If they are going to do big festivals like that then they need to redesign their time frames, (like as you said March).
Yeah March, if not that, April or earlier in May. The closer to the end of Winter the better lol.
I don't really know who John 5 is, but just from seeing the signing session clip, and the live performance clip, he seems like an awesome dude!

I was against the barrier for John 5 and it's a bummer but like you said, you can't control the weather and it just sucks only 3 or 4 bands got to play their full sets all day yesterday
Flew down from Illinois for Saturday. Saw a band and a half! Will not go back unless it is after the rainy/hurricane season. What a nightmare!!!

This was the first year in 6 years I didn't go, and been following you because of it. I feel horrible for the forks that paid a lot of money. They have to find a way to get it back to November, or earlier in the year. even if it didn't storm, it's miserable in this heat. Thanks again for amazing videos!!
Well they have already planned it again around the same time next year on May 18-21st

Hey I'm glad you were there to get back into show I hope all that show is went on playing that I didn't get to go this year but I'm glad to happen for y'all not like a Jacksonville couple years ago it rain tornado but no wasn't too bad across the river but we got back in later on but it can't be delayed a lot of bands until almost 1 in the morning but I'm glad you got your show watch today I hope you did thank you
You were right behind me got me in the video walking out during the first evacuation plus it was awesome saying hey to you a couple times lol seen you at we came as Roman’s and seen you guys up in the grand stands I asked what you think about the weather haha good to see you guys!!!
This was my first festival and was really looking forward to seeing Korn, Megadeth, Shinedown and every other band but hopefully next time. Made the best of it and had fun with what I got and the bands that did play Fucking killed it. Rock on!!! 🤘🏼
Me too! I about cried when they cut Shinedown off. I was looking forward to seeing all the ones that you were wanting to see as well. I had already missed seeing fuel cause of how unorganized and long it took us to get our camping spot.

I've been going to Rockville since 2013 when it was in Jacksonville. And I went to Epicenter in 2017 when we got rained out and missed out on Tool/Judas Priest. Rockville last year in November was perfect. Knowing Florida weather (heat and rain), especially in May, I just decided it wasn't worth it this year (Plus not a huge fan of the headliners, sorry). I'm so glad I didn't end up going, but it still sucks because I see so many familiar faces in your videos and I know what its like to go through all that shit. Unfortunately Rockville is also slated for May in 2023 so unless the lineup is absolutely killer, we might have to pass again on it.
Thanks for showing the rain, and all the lightning so people can look at it and see "wow, it was actually pretty bad!"

It seems like a lot of the days the shows are on is Filled with Rain! Rain is always in the Forecast if it's Florida! It Sucked! I use to live there, and i hated the Humidity! I now live in Dry Arizona!
Flew all the way from Hawaii to see this. We went back to New Smyrna Beach then came back were so happy, then got shut down. So bummed.
They should have all the headliners come out and play on Sunday

Find a way to move this to March. It's the month with the most consistently good and dry weather in FL. Bummer about the headliners.
It would be pretty hard in March, they have the Daytona 500 in Feb and then Bike week and spring break rule Daytona in march. April would be good
Won’t happen, Daytona has too many events and it takes over 2 weeks to set up the festival, then the same amount to tear down. May, is unfortunately the best time for it, because then we have hurricane season.
My buddy locked the keys in the car hours before kiss & was freaking out. We got in an hour before kiss. He thought that was a bad day. , I truly feel bad for all you rock villains , had to pay for the monsoon experience. Pray for sunshine with love today
They seriously need to change this to a different time of the year like the beginning of the year
After the 2nd evacuation, we said screw it. We saw the weather radar and saw more storms coming so we knew they'd shut it down again. So we went to Hooters across the street and got some wings and burgers for much less than they were charging inside the speedway. Oh well... Glad they gave us a partial refund on our tix. Also, we saw a car in the Hooters parking lot that had rolls and rolls of paper towels wrapped around it and sealed with saran wrap! Hilarious!!!!
Also, it's July 24th, and due to the constant evacuations, and the fact that I was wearing a semi-new pair of sneakers, both of my big toes are still bruised from all of the walking. I guess they just need to grow out. But yeah... 2 months later, still bruised.

Good video man! I bought 4 day VIP and travelled from Louisiana. It sucks... I'm not mad tho. Frustrated is definitely the word. I pay for the experience not just the bands, so at the end of the day I got that I paid for. Info hope DWP does something for at least the 4-day pass holders.

The Kentucky show is in 2022 and September afford a concert there's a good concert lineup to check the way to make sure going to rain that day I hope but I saw it's going to be a blast up there have a good night or should I say good morning later now
I'm guessing they do it in May as most bands are touring and playing the festival/ radio circuit. Moving it would limit the bands

I'd be pissed though. A while back at Warped Tour in Michigan there was bad weather and I remember they forced everyone into the Palace of Auburn Hills and no one was allowed to leave.

Bands really don’t tour that much in the Winter time. Daytona 500 is in February. Best would probably be March or April instead of May.

March / April is near a drought here in Volusia County, or FL. for that matter ,change up month

That's a bummer. A lot of folks are going to be asking for refunds they won't get. Sadly that's a chance you take when you buy tickets for an outdoor event. Hopefully things will be better for Sunday.

@Metal Florida they advertise it as rain or shine which is completely misleading. Most people don't know we're (Central Florida) the lightning capital of the world
Exactly I loved in central Florida before I knew how the Weather was but the rain or shine helped convince me to get tickets just to get cancelled anyway. I find it hard to believe the promoters weren't well aware of the weather situation in Daytona this time of the year. Charging this much money for a four day festival in may was nothing but a cash grab if they weren't truly a rain or shine show.
Reminds me of WrestleMania night one last year.

Worst concert I've been too. I didn't even go Sunday cause I was so pissed on missing out on the bands I wanted to see Friday/Saturday. Only got 1 full day of music on Thursday. Cried a couple of times. I couldn't believe we wasted our times in a fucking shelter Saturday. Myself and my mother were gonna walk over to the speedway at 3:30 to get to the stage where Dirty Honey was scheduled to play, thank god we didn't. First of 3 stops cause of storms. We got to the speedway at around 5:45 or so. Only got to hear like 30 minutes of music or so Saturday. Got to the stage where Jerry Cantrell was playing as soon as we got to our spot Man In the Box was going, as soon as he was going into the solo had to go to shelter. Came back into when the gates open and got to the Octane stage where Shinedown was set to play. After 4 songs we all had to leave again for the night. I'm shocked the crowd didn't riot when Shinedown had to cut their set short. Longest night of my life at a show. In the crowd of people I was in there was a loud "bullshit, bullshit, bullshit!" chant going.
@@StephenWyand wow 😮 we are the same. I read your entire comment and we must have been feeling the same exact way. I was soooo frign pissed by Sunday that I said screw it. Saturday night they pushed us out of the entire speedway that we spent an hour walking around the outside of it til we got back to the tunnel so we could get to our camp site. I won’t ever go back to one of these. I saw a total of 5 bands and only one and a half☝️ I wanted to see out of the 5 cause shine down got only 4 songs out and that let down alone almost made me lose my shit. He was sooo good, just to cut him off
@@ChrystalFrierson Yeah it's going to take a bit to get over this festival. Worst than Epicenter that was in my home town in Rockingham NC in 2019. Last year in November was perfect. No storms cutting off band's sets. When I saw the weather the week of the festival, I was worried we were going to miss a lot of bands. What bands did you get to see?

A happy camper and now I’ll have to drive 2.5 hrs for that court appearance cause it’s some bs. I was hoping to see several bands like Korn,
Megadeath, Shinedown, and so many more. Probably the same as you were hoping to see. I’m still not to happy about it. It was a lot of money spent to get the run around as much as we did.
And the walking back and forth to the camp site.
Oh lawd I lost like 10 lbs from all that. That’s really ended up being a positive in my book but during the back and forth i wasn’t too happy. 😂
Feel bad for you guys but I think they need to look to move this to an inside venue!!!!
That’s why I think they should have it elsewhere other than Florida, like maybe in the Midwest or west coast or somewhere it doesn’t rain that often

Hula has the best theming I’ve ever seen in my life, perfect Halloween vibes and Tipper & Friends is musically the most impressive shit I’ve ever seen by a long shot. no hate to either EDC or Lost Lands but the vibes kinda blew when I went to EDC and I couldn’t handle 4 days of riddim if I tried

@@noahschreibman8713 yea i actually host and create props and immersive enviroments for electronic music events, so i know exactly what your talking about but yea lost lands and edc are definetly the most involved theme wise, insomniac also hosts hulaween. And tipper is great buy the crowds are hit or miss usually alot of self important techno snobs recreating the eurotrash era of the 90s
What did they do in the end for the people with 4-day tickets?
Yeah , Korn was supposed to play Friday and it also got rained out, everyone who got their wrist bands should get a full or at least partial refund

$700 for two (vip tixs and Premier parking, and gas, and a six hour round-trip ride from Central Florida, and for that I got a $50 Guns N’ Roses shirt for 3 songs by Jerry Cantrell two songs by Shinedown and waiting on Guns N’ Roses play there better be a refund or they better have GNR and all these bands back next year or this was an absolute joke thank you
I saw you leaving Jerry Cantrell and wanted to say hi, but you didn't look happy. Now i understand why. When this festival was scheduled at the end of April we never had rain issues except the infamous tornado year, then it started creeping into May and now it's towards the end of May right at the start a rain season. They need to moved it back a month in April. They can't really do it in Feb-March beacuse of the Daytona 500 and then Bike week and Spring Break. They said it can't be in November because it's still technically hurricane season and Insurance would be ridiculously high, which also rules out June-October, so April is realy the only logical choice.
I couldn't imagine. I would be uber pissed. Rock fest are not cheap . Food , drinks , merch , etc.. can bankrupt the average working man or woman. And not to be able to see the bands is the worse. I almost went to this this year. Glad I decided not to make the drive.
Well well I come to the conclusion watching your video again on RUclips my comment is to you I might go next year but let me tell you I wouldn't spend that kind of money for Ticket good prices on tickets people getting way too good people selling tickets online Homefront whatever yet I should have said that shirts girl or you know have a good time while you share from last year save the money if it's really you want a good deal just makes you get buy your tickets in advance that's what I would do but I want you to show her some more videos thanks for the videos there I enjoy them and by the way you thought this is a lineup check out Kentucky in September 2020 to now that's a line of two you want check that out
