    Those little things are so capable off-road.

      @WRECKEDGEAR  3 года назад

      Probably one of the most capable OEM rigs made. especially with simple mods that can make them do almost anything.

    I just bought a one owner samurai. I’ve owned many over the years but this is my first one owner. It sat for over a decade and still runs like a champ, after a little love. This is gonna be my keeper for a long time. Best 4x4 out there for the money.

      How you found a one owner Samurai for sale I have no idea but ur makin us very jelly over here. You couldn't be more right. these are the most capable 4x4 price/pound. Take care of that thing. and if you don't we might just have to send you a WRECKED-IT band aid.

      @@WRECKEDGEAR total luck. Wasn’t advertised as one. But the title don’t lie. Titled in sep ‘86.

    That's the 88.5 you can tell by the headrests and dash. That is the exact car I had, even the same color, metallic gold. I will always believe the metallic paint kept that car from rusting. I had it for over a decade, had bought it new in New Jersey from Bob Chisuli in Eatontown. Great car, really loud.

    • @WRECKEDGEAR
      @WRECKEDGEAR  3 года назад

      That is so rad you could tell by the dash and headrest what year it is.

    Omg, had exactly the same color 1988 Sami with a Vitara/Sidekick/Tracker 1.6 engine, imported from the States to Europe, still regret selling it, cool story and cool owner!

      This thing is a time capsule from the 80's. We were so stoked to get to do a walk around with this rig and the owner.

    Really liked the modifications he did to the doors, but are left with one question, how does he open them?

    • @WRECKEDGEAR
      @WRECKEDGEAR  4 года назад +3

      Well they are the doors he uses when he is not running the top. So he uses the inside handles.

    I’m starting a Sami woods build, how did the axels, U joints, etc hold up with the 33’s? I’m contemplating 33 vs 31 on SPOA with OTT steering.

    • @WRECKEDGEAR
      @WRECKEDGEAR  3 года назад

      It has been holding up for 10+ years of desert wheeling.

    Nice Ride.
    Which leaf springs are you using for front tyres.
    Stock leafs will not accommodate 33” tyre’s.

    • @DagNaby
      @DagNaby 3 года назад

      They’re stock leaf springs, the tires clear since the wheels are more offset than stock wheels.

    • @WRECKEDGEAR
      @WRECKEDGEAR  2 года назад +1

      Rubicon is one of the most iconic trails. Super beautiful and back in the day it was crazy hard and rewarding to have done it back then. now its still iconic but has been mad easier for more people to be able to make it.
