    Hi Phil,
    i am German and Framus is an old German Company (as you know of course).
    1998-2000 I had a black Framus Diabolo wit 3 SC Pickups.I paid 900 German Marks that time.New, first hand.That' s about 500 Euro now.
    All i can say i played all our gigs vor 2 years with that thing.Played better than any gibson or fender i had in hand (in that same price range of course).
    Man that thing was one of a kind, played like butter.Could shoot mysrlf in the head now for selling it due to Heroin addiction.
    I am sober for 14 years now by the way.What makes it ever sadder.
    Love your show, keep going.

      surgeyX "orders of magnitude more" is actually factually wrong ;) but sure, it's hi end custom shop prices. You'd expect your instrument to be absolute perfect then. But they do have more affordable guitars starting at 1500 or so.

    It's an awesome looking guitar but I would want to change that truss cover to match the colour of the top. Framus make some of the most beautiful guitars in the world in my opinion, and Warwick some of the most beautiful basses. Both are on my list of things I need to save for.

    Prices on framus are absolutely ridiculous. Pushing $9000 on some models for a cnc machine cut guitar. WTF?? I don't think any of the 'extras' come close to justifying the prices they are asking for their instruments.

    • @lynyrddeville
      @lynyrddeville 6 лет назад +2

      The Gibsons that cost "thousands" as in $5000 plus are custom shop instruments, not mass produced garbage. Take a look at and play the Les Paul Traditional for Japanese export which I can buy right now for $2800 CDN at my local Long and Mcquade and see if its mass produced garbage. It isn't.

    • @DallasGunther
      @DallasGunther 6 лет назад

      sunnibird it's an extra expense to import shit from Germany. Deisel amps don't have any problem winning the pick over a dual rec...........wait, I'm dreaming I live in Germany like what might have been if great grandad had not been into making fanatical life changes due to the need for religious fanaticism. Here in the States a mesa is way more affordable........especially if you don't waste 10% of your income paying a tithing on blessings and whatever BS they say at church. Me and all my siblings feel differently about religion. 3 generation hiccup I guess

Also, Phil love to see you contact Samariguitarist for a live event and why not do a Live Event wit Kiana or Jennifer James getting some history about both and also getting why they wanted to learn guitar and hopes for in the future. I mean, i currently have a yamaha erg 121 and im in the point where i will buy a high end guitar and keep it for many years, so... should i prefer a framus or smth like a fender strat, gibson lp, PRS, etc.
