- "This guitar is pure indulgence, I just wanted to have it".
- Owns 80 guitars.
He repetatively says so many positive adjectives about each guitar, that it delivers the message , that he does not know what to say about each one and just randomly reads these words from "top 10 positive adjectives list" . So main takeway is : If you have too many guitars , you will have no time to play all of them and you will barely remember from where each one came from.
I think if Phil didn't have the channel he'd be selling off at least half of his collection. When you're recording, in a band and whatnot you tend to accept having more guitars haha !
@@Dany12156 l
@@Dany12156 not a bad problem to have
@@anadicharandas6551 No, I
should've named it the Less Paul instead of the Les Paul Lite
There is a Les Paul less plus
But surely that extra 'S' would add significantly to the weight !!!
That’s what they called it in 2015.
Hahahahaha.
10/10
He was on such a roll here, id thought he would pick up just some random stuff other than guitar equipment. "This is my dog, he weighs 7.8 lbs......"
I honestly would love a dog review
Bahaahaha amazing.
lolol
I can throw a Thinline Telecaster on and then a big heavy Les Paul and hanging from the strap it's not a big difference in feeling. Not something I would notice bothering me even over an hour or more. There is a massive difference in weight between those guitars. Tele is a little over 7lbs and the Les Paul is around 11lbs.
Might be because I'm a pretty big guy, 295lbs 6'4", so a few extra lbs on a guitar isn't really noticeable enough to even think about. It's not something I've ever given a thought about when shopping for guitars for sure.
I've got enough trouble making a decision when shopping for a guitar, I'm glad weight isn't something extra for me to think about lol.
all stock, except the collar
Phil quickly rushes through his guitar collection and it still takes 27m 52s 😂😂😂😂
He plays 287 hours a day.
LOL, IKR
😁😆🤣😂🙃
Love seeing these and hearing the enthusiasm for each one.
Phil helps us all justify our addiction to collecting guitars....
Ahhhh yes love the show as always Phil! Love to finally see the collection!
Awesome video Philip, great content. It’s really awesome to see all of your guitar collection in its glory!
Thanks for sharing Phil. Really enjoyed seeing all your guitars!
The video we’ve all been waiting for! Thank you Phil!
Philip be flexing!!! Awesome collection for a awesome dude that appreciates and respects every instrument!
We have been waiting to see the collection for a while. Thanks Phil !! Great Video .
You have a remarkable collection of fine guitars and basses and different styles that can inspire you to play something different when you want to.
I'm always happy to see Parker guitars, I have a gold 1999 Fly Deluxe and absolutely love it. It's been my main guitar for 5 or 6 years now.
That was such an awesome video Phil!! What an amazing collection.. love the insights man 🙏🙌🕺🏻🎸🎸
Speechless! That is an amazing collection.
Killer collection Phillip! I have a fairly large collection of guitars myself we actually have very similar taste in instruments. I can tell just from what I see in your collection that you have been doing this a long time and are very thoughtful on witch guitars you keep in your collection. I've owned hundreds of guitars and really love the 80's shredder stuff but the one guitar I've always wanted but never got around to getting is the Alvarez Dana Scoop, seeing yours inspired me to finally try and track one down. Thanks for sharing and I really dig your channel!
OH EM GEE. THE ONE video I have been waiting for for a long time! YEESSSS!
Cool collection Phil. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for this video, Phil. As a long time viewer I was surprised that I didn't know all of them :)
That was really cool of Solar guitars to weigh it and send one out to you for the channel. Kudos to Solar!
Love this video! Nice to hear A lil story about all of them
Love the Gretch guitar! I bought my first Gretch a few months ago. I have been adding to my collection, especially the last 6 months. I will not have anywhere close to yours. Awesome!
Very nice collection! Thank You for sharing Phillip.
I’m excited for this!
Seriously, love ya Phil, keep doing it, I’m with ya
Now I understand why you know so much about guitars, thank you for sharing and caring
Very impressive collection Phillip! My favorites were the Suhr, the EVH, and the LP custom. I love your presentations, if it wasn't for you I never would have known about Harley Benton, I recently purchased a DC junior with a Roswell P90 in it. I never had a P90 before and I just love playing that guitar and that fire breathing pickup! Best off, it only cost me like $260.00 shipped to my house. Thanks again Phil and it always fun watching you play, you do kick ass, but you never disappoint with your selection of amps and pedals too!
Thanks for the cool collection video Phil!!
From a fellow "GAS" musician (or guitar geek) Cool video and a sweet collection!! Thanks for sharing.
Wow!! Lots of guitars there. Nice to see them all. 🤟🏼🎸
Thanks for showing off these amazing axes! I really enjoyed what you said about playing the guitars, and not just letting them sit on the wall. I am guilty of not playing my guitars, as often as I should.
Really love that Parker Phil! Thanks for showing us all the axes 🤘🏻
Awesome vid! Love seeing all of your babies!!!!!!
Great collection of guitars !! I love your statement "I'd buy another guitar for wall art before I'd buy another painting !" I've said the same thing !! Great video , thanks !!
So cool to see whole collection happy sweetwater got you to do it peace phil
Thanks Phil for helping me "Know YOUR gear"... that was a blast ....
I use to have an all-white Danelectro, similar to the one in the video and it was stolen from my room while I was in the Army stationed in Germany. All I have left of that guitar is the memories and one picture. ...(Sigh) I miss it.
Terrific video ... must be a daily joy to grab this one or that one to play. Thanks for doing this video; 30 mins. very well spent.
Was sure we were going to see at least one Tom Anderson.
Love this channel. Thanks for making the videos.
Very much enjoyed the small little story's behind all of these guitars/basses! \m/
I haven't even watched the video yet, but I already know this video is going to be one of my favorites.
I'm shocked that, visually, the guitar of yours I liked the best was the Kiesel Theos! Will have to check it out. Great video Phil
I hope to have that kind of collection someday I'm currently at five guitars i have a drum set slowly but surely trying to build a studio in my room All great studios weren't built in a day The best is yet to come
Cool collection. . I only have 10 guitars but I love them just as much.
You have a wonderful collection of beautiful guitars. If I had the opportunity to choose just one; it would be the ES 335. I've been in love with that model since I first laid eyes on one hanging in a pawn shop window in Gary, Indiana way back in 1961. Although I've owned and gigged with several other guitar types through the years; the 335 is still my main squeeze!
Wow, you have more guitars than anyone on the planet. God Bless, you are Super inspiration, thanks
That Warwick bass @ 24:31 is incredible. What a beautiful piece of art. And I don't even play bass lol
Beautiful collection Phil. I was scared that my wife would see this I realized we're neck and neck. Wife and I are moving (not far from Austin), but what made us laugh is when I starting packing gear, I was like "whoa", when will the guitar straps stop having babies!
I have so many toys on my list, I don't know what's next. Gotta say that my three EBMMs have impeccable. Newest (yr ago) is my G&L ASAT CLASSIC Fullerton Dlx (adds belly carve). Ugh, love it! Light too!
I'm so excited to watch this!
Loved it mate. Great video
lol the intro sounded more like: "they made me do it" lol. Thanks for the content Phil!
Stoked to see this finally!
Soon but im still growing both the channel and my collection lol awesome collection Phil! 🙌🏻🎸
I had 10+ guitars and didn't play many of them so I had a clear out and sold a load of them. Problem is, I spent ALL of the money made on new guitars. Oops. Anyway, great to see this collection. Something to aspire to!
story of my life
@@lgx2410 make that: Story of OUR lives!
😁😆😅🤣😁
That Framus is incredible
I loved the video! Thanks for doing it!.
Thanks for showing your incredible collection. One question, though. Wouldn't your American Standard Strat with the dent in the neck be a good candidate for a dent repair video? It's the technique where your place a wet towel on the dent then apply heat with a clothes iron tip or soldering gun to steam in moisture to make it swell and lift the dent out. Wouldn't this be possible because it's a basic satin finish on the neck and not painted?
I can personally recommend Sweetwater for all needs musical, ask for Pat. Excellent knowledge and unequaled top shelf customer service..
That Framus is mindblowing. Wow.
Framus guitars are some of the best on the planet!
Busy now , but I’m definitely going to watch a little later! Thanks Phil!
Super cool, man. It's a really nice, diverse collection. I spy the ones with the strap locks. ;)
Sweet collection Phil 🤘
That floral jam is a beautiful guitar
so many guitars we've rarely seen. Beautiful collection of guitars, even the Suhr!
“Even” the Suhr? Do you not like em? I think they’re very well made knock offs but, what never understood was, for that price tag, why wouldn’t you just buy the real thing?
@@shaneb1313 nah, Ive never been in ones presence so have no perspective. It was a statement in jest as Phil was a little dismissive of its percieved greatness throughout the video when discussing similar guitars.
Alot of really nice guitars Phil
LOng over due! Thanks Phil and Sweetwater!
that drop D switch is amazing. its the first time i've seen something like that:]
great video some really great guitars in there.
Maybe I need to get some of mine out of their cases. I tend to play what's out and handy and forget the more expensive ones hidden in cases. Good reminder--play them all. You Rock Groovy One!
I got a Hercules guitar stand that claims it can hold 10 guitars (I currently have 5 electric guitars and 2 basses on mine), it's great, I can see all my guitars, and it's so easy to grab one and play it.
Oh crap, here we go! Exciting!
Jeez that tele with the strat horn is gorgeous
Great collection!!! Enjoyed the video!
Yes! Thanks Phil!
Very nice collection, congrats.
I agree with your comment about the Taylor T5. I bought mine after a serious attack of GAS. It took years to grow on me, I came to terms with it when I realized it is not an acoustic guitar, it is a great electric with some acoustic properties. It is its own thing.
I like his modes he does too... that seafoam green tele with the slanted switch is a nice touch.
Wow, an amazing collection of DiMarzio Clip-locks - nice guitars too!
Great collection, I did expect more MiMs. I have five guitars myself, more than I need. Two MiA, three modded MiMs.
Sweetwater please pay this man to do an extended multi hour director's cut
Excellent tour. The only guitar missing is one more guitar. Rinse and repeat!
I like the shade of green on the hh strat. I think that grey hue works really well in greens, blues and purples.
WOW! That is one killer collection. Some I recall seeing over the years I have come here. Putting the whammy on the V was a brilliant idea. Gibson should really adopt that whammy unlike their own it works and even has a vintage vibe. I have 10 guitars that are keepers. I guess my go to guitar is one I designed. It took me 8 years to get it right before I had it made. The idea was to make a very Fender like guitar aimed at a die hard Gibson guy.
The neck is 24 3/4 and from nut to heel is carved like a '59LP. It has a hardtail bridge Tele bridge PU with neck & middle Strat PU's.The body is shaped from Leo Fender's sketches done in '51 for his next guitar. It uses the back half of the Tele. The 'bass' horn is from the P. Bass that was just completed at that time and the 'treble' horn is very Jaguar. C19 killed my day job so I can not finance getting any made to sell. I at least have the Prototype. It sounds great, plays great and has an absolutely perfect balance.
18:00 I have exactly the same strat "accept" that it's 100% stock. Love it to bits!
Very nice collection, Phil. You seem to have imposed a weight limit of 8 lbs. Very sensible!
If I'm not mistaken it was only the LP that crashed through that ceiling.
One hell of a guitar collection
Nice collection. Thanks for sharing
Pretty Awesome collection!
Awesome video phil
For a guitar youtuber i expect lots of guitars thank you for sharing
Wow that was alot of guitars and not a clunker in the bunch!! I have 26 guitars but still have like 4 clunkers i keep messing with, maybe one day i will love them ? Ha. This is my favorite utube channel, I have a crap ton of gear because i don’t have time to sell stuff. Rock on!
Thanks for the review
I'm guilty of owning to many , in my defense I've been adding and subtracting since 1975 and 1/4 of my collection cost under $50 even one for $15. Then I have a bunch under $130. I do have very few from $1200 -$3500 and they don't sound better than some of my cheapos they just play easier and relieve so much hand pain (quality build). Just sharing.
I have 32 guitars and I play them all .... five more than others and three alot but I play them all..... and I love them ! 🎸🤟🍻
I love the quick cuts, its like skipping through items in a video game with the main character explaining what it is and does lol
I am very surprised that I didn’t see a schecter, but none the less, very nice collection phil.
Thanks for sharing your guitarsanel !
Really enjoyable. Thank you.🙂
I love the bright orange Ibanez RG550!
Well done Phil.
