Just a mere statement "We're taking this seriously and processing this", that's it. And people eventually forget about these cases, if I ask someone on the street about "What happen to leaked data from KPU in 2020?", I'm sure no one can answer.

Even judges in Indonesia will not work if no one supports them, there are well-known legal figures who back this judge to sentence the defendant to death

After alot of turns, even with many high ranking people tried to deflect the truth, justice is still win in the end.

I guess in most countries, many high ranking officials and politicians can escaped punishment. Life is certainly unfair.
i flowed the news and this high rank general is almost escaped the death sentence because he made so many alibi and supported by dozens of his colleagues who also high rank police officers even a general.
but "netizens" don't let him escaped until this case have attention from the president and the police chief and they straight away formed a special team to investigate this case more.
so high rank officer and politicians are almost untouched by the law in almost all countries.
A life for a life. The world will be a better place.

Poor mother, the pain she must be going through
Even after the verdict, death sentence is a very long process. I'm sure that guy would try to appeal and delay the punishment as long as possible 🙄.
Appeal now only can 3 times at Supreme Court. And its obvious that since the early hours after sentence read out lout, his lawyer team is showing no signs of applying for appeal.

This should be required reading for new recruits in the RCMP, the Calgary Police Service and all major metropolitan police forces across Canada. Cameras are routinely turned off and people are beaten badly. Administrative duty on full pay is more of an incentive than a punishment.
